Plus 2 Celsius and 2.76 km run

I finished my run and have a cigarette 🚬

Such as life, but I do have a quick day Come, January 1 I’m gonna try and quit again. I already got the nicotine patches. I got a inhaler essential oil inhaler called FΓΌm

I’ll see how that goes for the new year

I slowed down my base around a little bit. I was supposed to do 4 km so I only missed it by a kilometre point.twenty four

I’m bit tired, and my knees are just taking a beating the last a few weeks.

So far from today here on out, it’s going to the days are gonna be starting to get brighter.

That’s something to look forward to

Dixie climbed its leaderboard after getting her active minutes goals in three days in a row. She’s at rank 28 in December on the leaderboard rather than being at 30.

Reactive breed minutes are only 5% above her breed better than 3%

Dixie’s rock in the active minutes by 7 o’clock. She’s got 157 active minutes average is just usually 121 minutes so she’s doing good.

😊 since I’m sharing Dixie stats, I’ll share a little bit of mineRuntime was about 15 minutes and walk time was about seven minutes.

I never heard this bad at the beginning of running, but I’m starting to feel it in my legs and knees.  Snowboarding is hard on the knees. I know that but today I’m just feeling it.

I listen to a book called the delusions of crowds today on my run how group school mad I’m 65% through the book so far I’m gonna be finishing in the next day or two

I think they’ll be my last book of the year

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/56240358

I tried reaching 77 books πŸ“• this year, but just didn’t make it

I got my fastest lap at seven minutes and 47 seconds

But mostly, I stayed around eight minutes and 42 seconds or 50 seconds per kilometre

In two days, I gotta get around 23 km done to reach my 50 km goal per week.

That’s about 12,000 and 13,000 steps per day

So far I’ve only done 8.5 km today. I’m debating about going for a second run just a bump that up to 10 km goal for today make tomorrow and the next day easier on myself.

It sounds like you're really committed to your fitness goals! It's great that you're planning to quit smoking and have some alternative tools like the nicotine patches and the FΓΌm inhaler to help with that. Every step counts, and starting the new year with a fresh mindset is a positive approach!

You’ve done a solid job with your running, despite the challenges on your knees. It’s awesome that you’re tracking your stats—like your fastest lap and average times. It might be a good idea to listen to your body, especially if your knees are feeling it. If a second run feels manageable, go for it, but don’t push too hard if you’re feeling fatigued.

It sounds like Dixie is really crushing her goals too! It must be motivating to have a furry friend in your fitness journey. Just keep focusing on those milestones, and don’t hesitate to take care of yourself as you work towards that 50 km goal for the week for steps. You’ve got this! πŸƒ‍♂️πŸ’ͺ

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour πŸƒ‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  πŸƒ‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run πŸƒ‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Celebrating Ten Years and Living My Best Life🧘‍♂️ A Quiet Day at Home

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 10 Years Together Last night was a beautiful celebration of a decade spent with Kim. We marked our 10-year anniversary with a cozy dinner at The Keg, where I indulged in a hearty 20 oz steak and Kim opted for a more modest 8 oz cut. It felt so good to get out together and enjoy a special evening. We kept things simple—just water to drink, with fresh bread and salad to start. The atmosphere was perfect, and I soaked in every moment of our time together. We’re incredibly grateful for our families, who made the night even more special. My parents generously gave us cash to enjoy our dinner, and Kim’s parents gifted us movie money so we could extend the celebration. Their thoughtfulness reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by love and support. Family and friends made it sweeter We were so blessed by our families: my parents gave us cash to enjoy the night and Kim’s parents sent money for a movie treat. Our friends even gifted us a 20% tip card for the meal...

Gratitude, Good Food, and Good Books

A Thanksgiving weekend of family meals, long walks, and reaching 86 books this year Bryan and I headed out for a walk after he returned from his sister’s Thanksgiving gathering, settling into a steady 30‑minute pace that carried us just under 2 km. The air was crisp with a light breeze, the kind of weather that makes movement feel effortless. I’ve always loved these cooler temperatures—my body doesn’t have to work as hard, and the transition from “easy mode” into a gentle warm‑up felt natural. Carrying 30 pounds with me added that extra layer of challenge, but it blended seamlessly into the rhythm of the walk. We paused at a park bench along the way, taking a moment to sit together before snapping a photo. That small break reminded me how these walks are as much about connection as they are about distance or weight carried. The combination of fresh air, conversation, and the grounding presence of the season made the outing feel restorative. It wasn’t just a walk—it was a reminder...
