Two walks and one run -3 Celsius

Dixie and I in the coulee.

Dixie got bite by another dog today, I won’t carry on about it but we’re okay.✅

Just wash it at home 🏡 with some warm water and dove sprayed on a rag of some sort paper towel actually and then i can just throw it away.

Dixie felt a bit uncomfortable 😳 at home so I took her for another walk and then a run 🏃‍♂️.

She also got an English muffin bite and a donut 🍩 bite.

I told her that those two Doberman dogs 🐕 🐕 are mirroring and reflecting its owner, and that owner probably doesn’t give them bites of English muffins or donuts

A walk with Toby at Henderson

I enjoy 😊 our outings and had a terrific time, Dixie Tractive collar was charging today so no dog stats today.

Out for a run at the edge of the city 🌆

At last we do a run, I had to take Tylenol just before the run 🏃‍♂️ do to a new pain. I got a searing pain in my knee when I move it or turn my body a different way. Any way it seems to be manageable.

Good 😊 show of being productive, an awesome progress I’ve manage to keep over these last four weeks.

I don’t know I think it’s just near my injection that my body is doing odd stuff. Come near my injection every 11 to 12 weeks my HRV dives low.

My low HRV is saying I’m going injured and to take it easy. So far I’ve had two low HRV dives in the last four weeks, although I’ve been mostly productive for a training status the last four weeks.

But now it’s in the red not orange 🍊 as being unbalanced now it’s low.

My VO2 max climb one point so I’m happy about this fact. Although my ankle is now pulse throbbing pain. That’s an old kiteboarding injury. Seems to never forget me on days like this.

Over all I’m managing the low HRV and the strain as a training status and did three activities.

I’m happy 😃 for these stats for sure 👍

The ye dog is better, I’m thrilled 😁 it’s going to be a wonderful time of the year. I’m just super happy to be working walking with friends and running again.

Endorphins help so does adrenaline naturally occurring when you run 🏃‍♂️ in the dark or after exercise.

Out for my walk this morning, it got to be a short walk due to an aggressive two dogs that I did not want to pass again.

Next time I’ll call her back and will run away from the situation. I was reading about running away not in fear but reason and to stay and fight or run and flee. In my book 📕

Of course I’m allergic to pain so running is preferred but some time aggressive dogs think that’s a prey then.

So what what to do in those situations.

Animal control for sure 👍 but so is walking other places than an off leash park it’s sort of expected there. I was told.

Yet still you’d think that if there’s aggressive dogs and that’s what the owner wants he’d take them to a farm to run around or get exercise rather than a public dog park.

Cup of coffee this morning
I also walked with Sonny yesterday but never blogged much about it

I had a dog in pain also with a bad leg 🦵 he was a rescue 🛟 🐕 dog so I understand shorter walks with an injury.

Finn the dog was one of those dogs that never jumped and I hardly remember much issue with him. But he had an injury that made him an excellent first dog for me.

Miss him dearly.

I’m still 10 km short of where I wanted to be this week. From last week.

Although I think I did my over the km in exercise it didn’t count my steps cause I was snowboarding it and this whole Camino is done in steps.

Such is the badge I wanted so some where along the line I got to catch up for another ten km in a week.

It sounds like you had quite an eventful day with plenty of ups and downs, both with your walks and your health! I’m glad to hear that Dixie is doing okay after her encounter with the other dog. It’s always tough to see our pets get hurt, but it seems like what you did helped her feel better.

Your running challenges and the pain in your knee and ankle sound frustrating. It’s good to hear that you’re managing it, but be sure to listen to your body, especially with your low HRV readings. It’s great that you’re focused on your VO2 max climb; every little bit counts!

Your reflections on dealing with aggressive dogs in public places are very insightful. It’s unfortunate that some owners don’t consider the well-being of others when letting their dogs roam off-leash. Staying safe and choosing to avoid confrontation is always a wise choice.

It sounds like you’ve had some meaningful walks and connections with both Dixie and other dogs like Sonny and Finn. Those memories can really stick with us, especially when it comes to past companions.

If you’re still looking to make up that 10 km for the week, perhaps planning some shorter, more frequent walks could help! Just take it easy and pay attention to how your body feels.

Lastly, enjoy that cup of coffee! It sounds like you’ve earned it after all the activity.

Little disappointed ☹️ with WordPress cause now I got advertisements on my blog post. It’s either pay for a blog post to get those advertisements off…

In that month of trying a new blogging platform I got 500 ish views 177 visitors.

Although I like Wordpress, it’s just to expensive as a platform to get a dog blog on for me anyway and I don’t want ads not to pay for the free version.

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour 🏃‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  🏃‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run 🏃‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Walk mid October with my Mom

Walks with my mom The water looks like glass just crystal smooth.  My mom and I are walking to the river and in life. It’s like we’re always walking away.  Getting closer to the end, my poet mind says.   I say I got to enjoy these walks and I was silent most the walk just trying to enjoy 😊 my time with her. Or walk end more so with 🐾 paw printed pants 👖 from dogs jumping.  We say maybe a dozen dogs 🐕. A wonderful time.  I often thought it was too early to spell like alcohol.  But surprised to pass another walker, but each to their own I probably smell like an ashtray. Although I never smoked or chewed tobacco on my walk.  I just want to walk with my mom.  Often times I don’t think I could spit out everything I wanted to say so much so that I just said in these moments you don’t have to chew tobacco and say anything. Dixie and both us individually by the fallen tree arch. A path going to the river, under which most the trees 🌳 there are...

Walk and a run in to the vet

Another adventure for Dixie,  she is an expensive dog….🐕 We enjoy 😊 our walks. Up top of the coulee you can see the university  Sonny and I go walking the south side dog park,  it tricky terrain for sure.  It’s nice 😊 for the scenery I think, yet a bit treacherous at times.  A person has to be careful let alone a dog 🐕 being careful. Here is Sonny and I smiling giving a thumbs up to the camera 📸  The walk was decent though some difficult 😞 parts for today, Dixie is on a 14 day hiatus from walking.  She’ll probably want to go sooner rather than later. I think we’re stuck to just five minute poop 💩 walks than the hour or two hour walks we usually do. I’m unsure when it happen but my guess is near the end of the walk when I noticed it. Dixie gets to close to the bushes today, I kept looking her over but noticed a different spot on her at the end of our walk.   Dixie goes through some bushes and gouged a piece out of her. Now Dixie has th...
