December. 4

-5 Celsius and deep in a fog

Before my run. πŸƒ‍♂️

I get running by myself no dog this time. She probably felt left out but I didn’t think I’d get as far as I did unless it did get t by myself. I finished a book in my run πŸƒ‍♂️ after running 50 minutes, I’ve sort of been in the book πŸ“• all day. But just finished it on my run.

New personal record longest run and fastest lap

I did good most the run was a vigorous run, I’m in a huge sweat πŸ˜“ now that I’m home 🏑.

About 12 minutes of walking and 33 minutes of running πŸƒ

I’m doing good 😊 feel great 😊 I think I had for Intensity minutes was good

87 minutes in total today

I’m going to go have a shower 🚿 soon, yet I should walk the dog if I ran, she only got a short walk today. She would have loved to run but I can’t stop πŸ›‘ and smell the ground like she does. It be to much to keep the pace.

That’s at least what I keep telling myself. My next run I’ll have to take her.

After I get in from my run

I’m still sweating πŸ˜… a 1/2 an hour later. Smokers lungs and with the fog 🌫️ out lots of moisture.

A new week has started and I’m at 111.4 km

An update later if I get the dog πŸ• walked, but she’s also sleeping πŸ’€ now by the time she his blog is written.πŸ™‚

It’s also 9 pm and the sun been down for 4 1/2 hours.

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour πŸƒ‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  πŸƒ‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run πŸƒ‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Celebrating Ten Years and Living My Best Life🧘‍♂️ A Quiet Day at Home

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 10 Years Together Last night was a beautiful celebration of a decade spent with Kim. We marked our 10-year anniversary with a cozy dinner at The Keg, where I indulged in a hearty 20 oz steak and Kim opted for a more modest 8 oz cut. It felt so good to get out together and enjoy a special evening. We kept things simple—just water to drink, with fresh bread and salad to start. The atmosphere was perfect, and I soaked in every moment of our time together. We’re incredibly grateful for our families, who made the night even more special. My parents generously gave us cash to enjoy our dinner, and Kim’s parents gifted us movie money so we could extend the celebration. Their thoughtfulness reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by love and support. Family and friends made it sweeter We were so blessed by our families: my parents gave us cash to enjoy the night and Kim’s parents sent money for a movie treat. Our friends even gifted us a 20% tip card for the meal...

Gratitude, Good Food, and Good Books

A Thanksgiving weekend of family meals, long walks, and reaching 86 books this year Bryan and I headed out for a walk after he returned from his sister’s Thanksgiving gathering, settling into a steady 30‑minute pace that carried us just under 2 km. The air was crisp with a light breeze, the kind of weather that makes movement feel effortless. I’ve always loved these cooler temperatures—my body doesn’t have to work as hard, and the transition from “easy mode” into a gentle warm‑up felt natural. Carrying 30 pounds with me added that extra layer of challenge, but it blended seamlessly into the rhythm of the walk. We paused at a park bench along the way, taking a moment to sit together before snapping a photo. That small break reminded me how these walks are as much about connection as they are about distance or weight carried. The combination of fresh air, conversation, and the grounding presence of the season made the outing feel restorative. It wasn’t just a walk—it was a reminder...
