Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour πŸƒ‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run

πŸƒ‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run πŸƒ‍♂️

It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️

I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago

Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip.

I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin.

So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past recreational and go into intermediate for an endurance title.  For a being a smoker last year and quitting this year. It’s quite an ambitious goal I find.

I’m still a recreational runner,  πŸƒ‍♂️ which I’ve been working on since October last year.

This week I’m above average hoping to slow it down a bit for the end of the week but I don’t want to strain myself and below for a couple weeks again.

Dixie is ranked 23 on the leaderboard for April now just under Weasley and above Sonny.🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

Dixie’s activity and sleep are good for the last seven days so she’s one happy dog.πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ•πŸ•πŸ•

I gotta stop off at my parents on the way to Popson, Get some water for the dog and eat an apple and a couple grapes for my mom. πŸ‘©

I was mostly in the aerobic zone for the run at about 37 minutes. An easy zone For 21 minutes, In the threshold zone for about three minutes

My walk consisted of half my run. I did take a few stops to take pictures or pick up dog dirt..

Dog owner responsibilities I guess.

Here you can see my elevation that I did,

My maximum was 168 bpm, at an average of 142 bpm

My average pace was about 10 minutes per kilometre and my best was about five minutes per kilometre.

Lots of stats this time can see I did about six laps.

For a kilometre each

Runtime was 25 minutes walk time is 30 minutes

Moving time was 55 minutes and the whole tire run was about an hour so about five minutes of idle time

A few pictures in the park by the watershed, and then the rest of the pictures were on the hill or near the river,

Lastly, one at my parents. Lots of photos and stats and I set a PR in the mile, kilometre and 1/2 mile today.  Yahoo.  An awesome 😎 start of the morning on a day off.

It sounds like you had an amazing run with Dixie! It’s great to hear you’re making progress with your VO2 max and achieving personal records. Running with a dog can add so much joy to the experience, and it seems like Dixie had fun splashing in the river too!

Capturing photos during your run is a nice way to document your progress and the scenery. You’re definitely balancing your training well and being mindful about not over-straining yourself. Plus, it's nice that you’re incorporating time with your parents into your routine.

Keep enjoying those runs with Dixie! πŸƒ‍♂️πŸΎπŸŒ³πŸ“Έ

A cougar sighting just close by to where I was, just a road over I heard.

Celebrating Ten Years and Living My Best Life🧘‍♂️ A Quiet Day at Home

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 10 Years Together Last night was a beautiful celebration of a decade spent with Kim. We marked our 10-year anniversary with a cozy dinner at The Keg, where I indulged in a hearty 20 oz steak and Kim opted for a more modest 8 oz cut. It felt so good to get out together and enjoy a special evening. We kept things simple—just water to drink, with fresh bread and salad to start. The atmosphere was perfect, and I soaked in every moment of our time together. We’re incredibly grateful for our families, who made the night even more special. My parents generously gave us cash to enjoy our dinner, and Kim’s parents gifted us movie money so we could extend the celebration. Their thoughtfulness reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by love and support. Family and friends made it sweeter We were so blessed by our families: my parents gave us cash to enjoy the night and Kim’s parents sent money for a movie treat. Our friends even gifted us a 20% tip card for the meal...

Plus 12 Celsius Smoke run πŸƒ‍♂️

The dog and I decided to do either a 3 km run or a 6 km run or 9 km run hoping for 10 km but I couldn’t find the energy to push further. It is smoky out there you could smell it and breath it in. Made me in my threshold if I keep a higher pace than 9 minutes km Cooler morning,  I went and got a sausage homestyle biscuit from Tim’s and an ice coffee ☕️  Just getting my day started. I got a doctors appointment later today over the phone πŸ“ž also. Hoping to take the dog πŸ• for a run πŸƒ‍♂️ this morning but I’m stiff. So hopefully my coffee stop warms me up to get moving this morning. Or just caffeinates me. We managed to do 6.05 km in about 59 minutes. A high heart rate of 172 bpm and an average of 144 bpm. Plus 12 Celsius while I ran but I was in full sweating πŸ˜… by the time I got home 🏑. The last couple weeks I’ve had a low relative effort due to some family losses. But I manage to get out on a smoky day like today for a run. πŸƒ‍♂️  It’s been raining heavily the last...
