Plus 6 popson park lots of flys and a motorcycle ๐Ÿ️

Dixie and I run in plus 6 weather and swarms of aphids or mosquitoes. ๐ŸฆŸ motorcycle ๐Ÿ️ ride started

Almost too much to take a breath in the fly’s were bad. You could see others swatting the bug’s away while I ate breakfast in the river bottom with Dixie. Dixie and I shared a croissant, a honey crueller, and a sausage homestyle biscuit I drank the ice  ๐ŸงŠ coffee ☕️.

Dixie is tied with max this morning at when we check the leader board for April. She is now at 35 for April leaderboards.

I ran 1.85 km in 17 minutes not bad for me, but I could stay down there any longer swallowing so many bugs while running ๐Ÿƒ‍♂️ at one time I felt like throwing up and started walks ng bug the bugs were every where. I tried cupping my hands over my mouth but that never worked as well as I thought ๐Ÿ’ญ I needed a facemask neck breather.

You sort of see the bugs in this photo but it wasn’t giving the run justice there were way thicker parts on the run with bugs ๐Ÿœ.

This was just a moment to take a photo while no one was around.

Dixie loved ๐Ÿฅฐ her running I don’t know if there were as many bugs at her level but mine was thick with them critters.

First lap was good ๐Ÿ˜Š second I sat down and almost vomited ๐Ÿคฎ from bug ๐Ÿœ breathing. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ‍๐Ÿ’จ

157 bpm for a max and 147 average bpm

Walk and run ๐Ÿƒ‍♂️ was even spread out at 8 minutes each.

But most the walking was at the end of the first lap.

Dixie is 1 % above her active minutes for her breed but it’s still very early in the day. She will gain some more it was only plus six but it felt warmer in a jacket and running. ๐Ÿƒ‍♂️

Dixie is about 45 years old and is considered a senior dog ๐Ÿ• she is over six years old in March and we are coming up to having her for six years in May.

Got the motorcycle ๐Ÿ️ running again, thankfully I scrubbed it down from some weird blue growth on it, it’s a new battery from last year but I ⚠️ wiped it down with vinegar and a tooth brush scrubbing. ๐Ÿงฝ

Looks way better now.

Charged the battery and took it for a short ride last night. Felt good ๐Ÿ˜Š on a day off to get that ride in at the end of the work shift. 14 km in half an hour full up the gas tank with premium fuel ⛽️ just to make it run a bit better. Getting the first ride in felt great ๐Ÿ˜Š

Going to do an oil change on it next week.

What a lively day you had! It sounds like quite the adventure with Dixie—both the run and the motorcycle ride. Running in those conditions with swarms of bugs must have been a real challenge! It’s great that you were able to take a moment to enjoy breakfast by the river, even if the company wasn’t the most pleasant.

It’s impressive that Dixie is performing so well on the leaderboard! Sharing that croissant and honey cruller must have made for a nice little treat after the run.

As for the motorcycle, it's awesome that you got it back up and running! It sounds like you took great care of it with the cleaning and maintenance. Starting the riding season off on a good note like that must feel really rewarding.

Good luck with the oil change next week! Do you have any other plans for your next ride, or will you be continuing to train with Dixie?

I’m planning on lifting weights ๐Ÿ‹️‍♀️ this afternoon and possibly another run. ๐Ÿƒ‍♂️ I’d like to go across the river on the motorcycle but I should do a spring work up on the motorcycle before I max out  the rpm on the bridge to get across. Although I’m sure it’ll be fine, I weigh lots for a 200cc bike and that would make the Yamaha work very hard.  I might possibly take it for a short ride around the neighborhood circles.  Maybe even down into Paradise Canyon since that’s only 40 km up and down into the Coulee but there’s also lots of gravel around and street sweeps ๐Ÿงน haven’t gone through the roads quite yet.

It sounds like you have a great afternoon planned! Lifting weights and getting in another run will definitely keep you active. Taking the motorcycle across the river is an exciting idea, but you're right to be cautious about doing a spring work-up first. It's always better to be safe, especially when pushing the limits on a smaller bike like your Yamaha.

A short ride around the neighborhood sounds like a nice way to gauge how the motorcycle is feeling. Getting familiar with the bike again in a more controlled environment will help you prepare for the longer rides, too.

Paradise Canyon would be a beautiful destination, but it sounds like you need to keep an eye on the road conditions with the gravel and street sweeps. Staying safe and making sure the bike is in good shape is definitely the way to go.

It sounds like you have a good mix of activities planned for today, combining fitness with some fun on the motorcycle. Enjoy your workouts and ride safe!

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour ๐Ÿƒ‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  ๐Ÿƒ‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem ๐Ÿ˜Œ We made good time.  For a hill run ๐Ÿƒ‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good ๐Ÿ˜Š today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

A fawn born on our yard

A baby fawn was born on our lawn and it’s trying to warm up in the asphalt I’m guessing it’s still warm. We’re trying to give it space hopefully it mother comes by so we’re staying inside. I just went outside for a smoke and it crawled under the vehicle ๐Ÿš— lots of people are walking by it not noticing it then others are stopping.  Quite the thing to see. A few hours old… it’s still wet with mucus on it. With Kim’s super camera zoom is we could see Fish and wild life say to call in 24 hours if animals are left by moms  So we’re hoping people leave the fawn alone.  Although it’s a super cool ๐Ÿ˜Ž thing to see. I think it hoofs are still soft from being born that’s why it’s staying put since it went on that hard surface till it’s hoofs Harden. It crawled on its knees after the side walk and just hunkered down for a bit. Two hours from first spotting.  Still there hiding under the vehicle ๐Ÿš— it kind of a good spot of course there’s better picked spots but it’s half and hal...

Bryan and I ride 21 km plus 20 Celsius

Bryan and I ride for 21 km’s A cooler day than other days so Bryan and I cycle through Lethbridge. I manage to do three PR’s today (personal records) And won a badge for climbing 500 feet. ๐Ÿ‘ฃ  Here we are at chinook lake, on the north side of Lethbridge. I was mostly in the aerobics zone for my cycle a bit of threshold and easy cycling ๐Ÿšด‍♂️ also. Averaging speed 13.7 km/hr Max speed 43.7 km/hr Move time was an hour and a half but with breaks and bench sits it was two hours. Bryan in front of the wolf ๐Ÿบ statues. Back at Bryan’s place taking a breath from cycling over to Bryan’s house ๐Ÿก  The hill was a bit difficult ๐Ÿ˜ž but I manage to make it up.  My laps are here below and my relative effort this week shot way up for the trip. Made my week better, I thought I was going to be below my relative effort and not make my weeks score.  Yet I’m way above average for my score. Looking over the river valley and taking a break at a bench. Wow, it sounds like you and Br...
