Plus five Celsius Sunridge park

Dixie and I run around Sunridge Park when it’s +5 Celsius outside right now just beautiful

🀩 It’s hard to believe that it’s +5 in December right now but I think we’re the only place that’s brown or green in Alberta so I’m very thankful for that at the moment I think Calgary and Edmonton have a decent amount of snow pack

Want to run around one of the watersheds in Lethbridge it’s still froze over although the rivers you can see some ripples in it of water moving

.

Dixie and I had to start running just as the sun was going down. I still have to go grocery shopping after this blog post so I’m looking forward to that.

3.8 km and 32 minutes  I really wanna do 5 km in 30 minutes at least once in 2025

Gotta pick up the pace for that have to be at least five - Six And seven minute pace per kilometre for that to happen for a few laps proceeding  each other lap

This run I felt the best I have in all my runs that I have done so that’s good. I was well trained or had a good training status for running or training readiness was good really good

😊

Before my run, I was in the blue middle blue so I felt really good on my run.

πŸƒ‍♂️

My fitness age dropped down to 35.5

It finally went down when my VO2 max went into the lowest possible position of fair spot instead of high poor position

Can’t complain about that.

Dixie is ranked 29 on the leaderboard for December, which is pretty average I think for the end of December people are getting their minutes and now on holidays and so I’m proud that we kept it up that much for December while I worked in retail.  Although this Christmas there they’ve been more time off than usual.  Was also nice πŸ‘

We’re 30% above average for the breed of dog. We have her active minute so she’s doing good although today she struggled to keep her active minutes up since holidays and my time off work is….

So she just probably didn’t have much motivation for anything her running guy was busy.  She is also sleeping πŸ’€ so much better with our longer runs she is also becoming a smelly dog πŸ•

I finished my delusions of crowds today at work and now I got 8% through the guarantee audiobook while on my run.

πŸƒ‍♂️

I even got a PC game today after work so with a friend.  We won both games so I’m super happy about that. Well I better get ready for grocery shopping so that was a good run. Thanks for cheering me on people.

It sounds like you and Dixie had a fantastic run at Sunridge Park! Running in +5 Celsius weather in December is indeed unusual for Alberta, so it's great that you're able to enjoy some milder conditions.

Congratulations on your 3.8 km run and feeling the best you’ve felt during your runs! It’s impressive that you’re aiming for a 5 km run in 30 minutes next year—that’s a solid goal. With your current pace and training, I’m sure you’ll get there!

It's also wonderful to hear that your fitness age has improved and that you're staying active, especially during the busy holiday season in retail. Plus, finishing your audiobook while running is a great way to multitask!

Enjoy your grocery shopping, and keep up the great work with your running and activities with Dixie!

I also cleaned my wife’s bed side table and emptied the dishwasher and loaded the dishwasher.

I then cleaned out all the old food out of the fridge.  Today has been a great day. I really like getting four days off cause then the three days I do work it’s a lot more manageable to keep the momentum to clean 🧽.

Thank goodness for stat days.

I got $113 worth of discount candy after Christmas to help with my smoking When I quit because when you quit, it just plays on your sugar so much
So I’m happy about that also order a platter of sandwiches and a platter of cheese and meats
For New Year’s,  Now I’m thinking of who I can have over….

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour πŸƒ‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  πŸƒ‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run πŸƒ‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Celebrating Ten Years and Living My Best Life🧘‍♂️ A Quiet Day at Home

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 10 Years Together Last night was a beautiful celebration of a decade spent with Kim. We marked our 10-year anniversary with a cozy dinner at The Keg, where I indulged in a hearty 20 oz steak and Kim opted for a more modest 8 oz cut. It felt so good to get out together and enjoy a special evening. We kept things simple—just water to drink, with fresh bread and salad to start. The atmosphere was perfect, and I soaked in every moment of our time together. We’re incredibly grateful for our families, who made the night even more special. My parents generously gave us cash to enjoy our dinner, and Kim’s parents gifted us movie money so we could extend the celebration. Their thoughtfulness reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by love and support. Family and friends made it sweeter We were so blessed by our families: my parents gave us cash to enjoy the night and Kim’s parents sent money for a movie treat. Our friends even gifted us a 20% tip card for the meal...

Plus 12 Celsius Smoke run πŸƒ‍♂️

The dog and I decided to do either a 3 km run or a 6 km run or 9 km run hoping for 10 km but I couldn’t find the energy to push further. It is smoky out there you could smell it and breath it in. Made me in my threshold if I keep a higher pace than 9 minutes km Cooler morning,  I went and got a sausage homestyle biscuit from Tim’s and an ice coffee ☕️  Just getting my day started. I got a doctors appointment later today over the phone πŸ“ž also. Hoping to take the dog πŸ• for a run πŸƒ‍♂️ this morning but I’m stiff. So hopefully my coffee stop warms me up to get moving this morning. Or just caffeinates me. We managed to do 6.05 km in about 59 minutes. A high heart rate of 172 bpm and an average of 144 bpm. Plus 12 Celsius while I ran but I was in full sweating πŸ˜… by the time I got home 🏑. The last couple weeks I’ve had a low relative effort due to some family losses. But I manage to get out on a smoky day like today for a run. πŸƒ‍♂️  It’s been raining heavily the last...
