Snowboarding 🏂

Top 🔝 of the mountain 🏔️

My brother and I go snowboarding 🏂 doing about 11 runs. I heard if I wanna pay for my lift ticket I have to do at least 10 runs in a day.

The first go about yup 👍 after we had lunch 🥪. Max speed for the morning was 56.9 km/h
We were fast the before lunch after I got a bit tired 😴

My max heart rate was 180 but my average during the snowboarding trip was about 139

Talk about working out 🏋️‍♀️ for the day.

The afternoon we explored more of the mountain we never started repeating, runs till in the afternoon and we wanted to go down groom trails, and see the kids do jumps.

In the after noon we did 5 runs I did a few jumps. Some I landed others I was close to falling and still others I wiped out completely

To be far I think I had to tighten my boots 🥾 about after the first or second run my boots could get tighter to stay on better.

I sweat 😓 lots during the day. as the sun went down I got chilly 🥶 it goes down faster in the mountains 🏔️. Max speed is as 51.8 km/h for the afternoon
A bit of a higher max heart ♥️ rate in the afternoon but still my average was 139

I feel good 😊, it is an awesome 😎 time and quite the work out 🏋️‍♀️. I feel great, going with my brother is a stellar way to enjoy 😊 the start of the year.

I think with all the fog we got in December and November that February is going to be good riding for snowboarding or skiing there’s going to be lots of snow.

And with the sun flipping poles this year, every 10 or 11 years, we got a super big snowstorm so I’m expecting some decent snow this year enough that I bought a WOW card and thinking I’ll go Again.

Riding the groom trails. I went with my all terrain board with a bit of a flex to it. Instead of the less flex board I own since I wasn’t expecting much snow

To my surprise there was way more snow this year than expected, I guess past year the runs we were on this year were closed last year at this time of year. Most of all the runs were open . Only a couple runs were closed

Yahoo

The trip was exciting we did 11 runs today.

After noon 🕛 we did five runs
Morning we did six runs
We went to the very top of the mountain and ski/snowboard most the groomed trails. That what my board is good for with grooming trails cause the board has a bit more flex to it. Later in the season I’ll take out my powder board.

We snow board with a few of my brother friends kids. They were doing some impressive tricks. At the end of the day also. I didn’t think my legs could stay under me or my knees would be in my chin on how I felt at the end of the day.

With some of these jumps these kids were doing it was impressive, they were commenting how they had great teachers at the ski hill that showed them some helpful skills.

Another photo mid mountain 🏔️

The do instructors are awesome at castle, i was told and the hill had some nice features and decent size for where its located. Better than the longer drives to other resorts.

Afternoon runs.

Overall, a really grateful for my brother for driving out there. It’s been 10 years since I’ve been snowboarding that’s what my last ticket says on my other jackets so I’m guessing it was that long ago was my last trip.

Last lift ticket 🎟️ on my other jacket.

It like you had an incredible day snowboarding! It’s great that you and your brother were able to spend some quality time together on the slopes. Doing 11 runs is impressive, especially considering the variations in your max heart rate and the effort you put in!

It’s interesting to hear how the conditions were better than expected, with more snow available. Riding groomed trails on a flexible board sounds like a smart choice, especially if that’s what you’re most comfortable with. It’s also cool that you got to watch your brother’s friends’ kids do their tricks—that must have been inspiring!

It’s perfectly normal to feel exhausted at the end of such an active day, especially after some jumps and tricks. Your body probably appreciated the workout with all that snowboarding!

Having a solid lift ticket allows you to plan for more days on the mountain. It sounds like you might be heading for some more exciting rides in the upcoming months, especially if you’re expecting great conditions due to the snowfall. And who knows, maybe you’ll even get to try out your powder board later in the season!

Thanks for sharing your snowboarding adventure! Do you have any plans to go again soon? ❄️🏂

Hopefully going to go again in the next couple weeks I’m hoping so. We’ll start to have to be making tentative plans for sure to go again.

Even if I did about 20 km worth of exercise today I still didn’t get my 50 km I needed to do for the week.

22.34 km done today

I’m still not gonna make my Camino and I am so tired today. I don’t think I can do that extra bit of kilometres to get to my 50 km and Monday is my last day to do it.

9 km short of getting my 50 km done for the week.
Vo2 max slowly climbing back up from being at the bottom 25%
Yikes 😳 very high load today
Broke my productive from November.19 from twenty days of being productive.

That’s good 😊 productive is 😊 good, strain is bad but over reaching is good also. So over all a good 😌 day except I never got many steps.

Oh well, it’s still a good day, I’ll have to do two extra 5 km runs next week to catch up on the loss of this week steps.😳 good weather in Lethbridge, snow in the mountains. Nothing much to complain about.

Just a wonderful time of the year.

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour 🏃‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  🏃‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run 🏃‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Walk mid October with my Mom

Walks with my mom The water looks like glass just crystal smooth.  My mom and I are walking to the river and in life. It’s like we’re always walking away.  Getting closer to the end, my poet mind says.   I say I got to enjoy these walks and I was silent most the walk just trying to enjoy 😊 my time with her. Or walk end more so with 🐾 paw printed pants 👖 from dogs jumping.  We say maybe a dozen dogs 🐕. A wonderful time.  I often thought it was too early to spell like alcohol.  But surprised to pass another walker, but each to their own I probably smell like an ashtray. Although I never smoked or chewed tobacco on my walk.  I just want to walk with my mom.  Often times I don’t think I could spit out everything I wanted to say so much so that I just said in these moments you don’t have to chew tobacco and say anything. Walk and a run in to the vet

Another adventure for Dixie,  she is an expensive dog….🐕 We enjoy 😊 our walks. Up top of the coulee you can see the university  Sonny and I go walking the south side dog park,  it tricky terrain for sure.  It’s nice 😊 for the scenery I think, yet a bit treacherous at times.  A person has to be careful let alone a dog 🐕 being careful. Here is Sonny and I smiling giving a thumbs up to the camera 📸  The walk was decent though some difficult 😞 parts for today, Dixie is on a 14 day hiatus from walking.  She’ll probably want to go sooner rather than later. I think we’re stuck to just five minute poop 💩 walks than the hour or two hour walks we usually do. I’m unsure when it happen but my guess is near the end of the walk when I noticed it. Dixie gets to close to the bushes today, I kept looking her over but noticed a different spot on her at the end of our walk.   Dixie goes through some bushes and gouged a piece out of her. Now Dixie has th...
