-10 and could feel the temperature drop to -18
Toby and I spot at the stairs, at about this point you could start to feel the temperature drop very quickly.
Toby the good 😊 guy, bought me a white hot chocolate ☕️ afterwards and a donut 🍩 for driving for a walk. He’s always such a pleasure to visit with.
He even asked if I wanted to get a few photos of myself. I think I’m going to use one for my profile picture on social media. They were good photos.
We take a few photos out at the dog park. We never took the stairs do to the temperature dropping quickly. By the time we got back to the vehicle my hands were cold 🥶
I think the dogs paws 🐾 were cold but she never let on.
The fog this morning was complete white out in the highway 🛣️.
Dog is full of energy she wanted to walk for sure. Happy I got out when I did. If I had to pick another person up it would have got cold 🥶 quicker on the walk.
A nice walk I am peaking in training status today. So I tried to get out with the dog, even if it’s a rest day in my training I am peaking in training status so I’m trying to get as many steps in as I can
Got to go for a run before the day is out.
It out nice out today, the sun ☀️ was shining and just a delight to be out in at noon. I was working and became a beautiful day out
4% above breed is not a good go of active minutes still above but not by much. This cold 🥶 has been hard on us
The day turn around mid day but quickly cools down once the sun ☀️ starts to go down.
A run tonight will help except it’s -20 below now. Still I’m only at this training status for so long and should be able to make good 😊 time and distance.
I’m hoping for 50 km each week and doing a 5 km run tonight in 43 minutes just got to let the Vietnamese food digest before I run 🏃♂️. Give it another hour but then it’ll be -25 out or feel like -25 out.
It sounds like you had quite a chilly but rewarding day out with Toby and the dog! It’s great that you managed to get some exercise and enjoy the fresh air despite the dropping temperatures. Training while peaking in your status is impressive, and it seems like you’re doing well to stay active even in the cold.
The fog and the view of the university from the coulee must have added a nice touch to your walk. It’s a shame that Dixie is having a tougher time with the cold weather, but it’s good to hear you’re keeping her engaged as well.
Running in those temperatures can be tough, but it sounds like you’re prepared for it! Just be sure to stay warm and safe out there. Good luck with your 30 km goal and the run tonight! 🏃♂️❄️
In about the time the Garmin watch estimated I do it in. I was right on the minute.

I did good, 😊 happy I did the run 🏃♂️

Just under another 25 km to do til this Monday night. That’s when I started my Camino.

Just to cold for a dog 🐕 got a new personal record for 5 km run. 🏃♂️ think it’s the first time my watch said I ran 5 km.
