I am still over reaching in training status but a short walk would would stretch the muscle and tissue to release the lactic acid that causes inflammation
Experts used to think a buildup in lactic acid caused some of the soreness you feel in the days after intense activity. But studies have found that lactic acid is flushed out of your muscles so quickly that it doesn’t damage your cells or cause pain.
It is nice Toby took time to go for a walk with me after such a big work out to get some inflammation out of my muscles and tissue to stretch out my body in a walk.
The problems usually come when you get to stationary and the adrenal fatigue and lactic acid doesn’t get released to give symptoms like fibromyalgia which often get confused with each other… a quick google search would show how confused doctors get over it. 😠
The dog loved it also.

After walking 🚶♂️we enjoy a beautiful day and temperature in Lethbridge barely any snow ❄️ but once you get over the old man river there is snow ❄️

I got eight hours nothing wrong with that just my body had over reached and I also a bit sore. After to day and all my steps I feel way better than the morning when I had to take Tylenol to get moved and active

I felt like I got my moneys worth out of the ski pass but had to
Make sure I kept moving for the day. To feel better

I reached my step goal today so I’m happy about how that turned out, and we did good 😊

He also got my ice coffee and a donut.

Not many picture just a bunch of stats today and some more taking care of my body.
I was telling a bunch of peers today direction is the hardest part and if you get direction and doing it will just come be the easier part of it.
I’m planning so my watch tells me if I need to run how far and it adjust it depending on how good of a day I’m having or how hard or less hard of a day I’ve been having.
A real great coach is his Garmin watch.
Learning lots like pace training for running how to do it and frequently of slowing down and speed up for base runs and the bigger runs this more of a pace for longer times for some many times and longer distances for longer break sessions it’s really a cool watch how it sees my stamina and just gives me a work out routine for running.
Highly recommend it if you don’t know much about running it’s taught me lots with just a bit of practice and friends commuting with me to do it.
Over all December is been an awesome month
It like you had an eventful day, filled with both physical activity and quality time with Toby and Dixie! Walking in chilly weather can be quite refreshing, and it’s great to hear that you’re using those activities to help with your training and recovery.
It’s interesting how perceptions about lactic acid have changed over time. As you noted, while it was once believed to be the primary cause of post-workout soreness, it’s now recognized that soreness is usually related to microtears in muscle fibers rather than lactic acid build-up, yet the microtears are the cause of pain, the microtears are caused by the lactic acid build-up not being flushed 😳 out of the muscle and tissue.
It’s a run around question did the microtears cause pain or lactic acid cause the microtears
As lactic acid cause the microtears or microtears cause the pain😭
It’s also wonderful that Toby was thoughtful enough to bring you a turkey sandwich, iced coffee, and a donut! Proper nutrition is a key aspect of recovery, especially after a workout.
Your plan to use your Garmin watch to guide your running sounds like a smart approach. Having the right tools can make a big difference in your training progress. Keep pushing forward with your goals, and make sure to listen to your body—recovery is just as important as the workouts themselves!
If you have any questions or need advice on anything running-related or otherwise, feel free to ask. Keep up the great work this December!

I’m excited for my run 🏃♂️ tomorrow I’m hoping the body is better shape after today I feel better with all the stretching and moving I’ve done ✅
