5 km, 1 Celsius run Riverstone

It gets dark at 4:34 so the photo wasn’t so good today

Dixie and I get running we do a 5 km boat. If I did it another minute of running I would’ve got 5 km wow such.

My VO2 max climbed one point so I’m happy about that

Dixie fell on our leader board for December. She was ran 28 and now she’s ranked 31 for December leaderboard

So far I’ve done 11.5 km today. That’s what my steps counted.

So far, I only have to do 10.8 km to reach my goal of 50 km each week. The goal is tomorrow to do a couple walks and one run.

πŸƒ‍♂️

Plus1 Celsius today

Dixie is climbing up her breed average for active minutes. She’s at 14% above average now From 5% average yesterday

Some of my stats,  in a photo at the end of the blog post

There were many Christmas lights everywhere down the street. It was very beautiful… The spirit when you run by will lose lights. It was an amazing time.

It sounds like you had a full day of activity! Congratulations on your VO2 max improvement and hitting 11.5 km already. It’s great to hear that Dixie is also making progress and that you enjoyed the beautiful Christmas lights during your run. They can really enhance the experience, especially this time of year! What are your plans for tomorrow's walks and run?

πŸƒ‍♂️

Hopefully tomorrow some friends would like to join me on a walk, yet they’ve all either ghosted me on plans for r bailed cause of situation.

So I’m anxious 😬 to see if some will join me. It’s my kind of fun running or walking with the dog πŸ•

Understanding people not wanting to go for a walk or run when it’s dark is.  It gets dark early here and the lights all looks beautiful 🀩 out early night at 5:30 pm

I completely understand your anxiety about making plans with friends, especially when it comes to exercising in the dark. It’s tough when people are busy or hesitant, but it’s great that you still want to get out there, especially with Dixie! The Christmas lights make it much more enjoyable, and that shared experience can really boost morale.

If your friends can’t make it, you might consider inviting them last minute or even going solo with Dixie. A quiet walk or run can be just as fun, and you can soak in the beauty of the lights. Fingers crossed that at least a few of them will join you! Are there any particular routes you plan to take?

I’d like to do something similar to see the Lights go through a park and see the lights reflect the pond and just enjoy their company.  Makes you t way better to have people join. But yeah sometimes it’s just Dixie and I.

πŸ˜…

That sounds lovely! Walking through a park and seeing the lights reflecting off the pond definitely sounds magical, especially during this festive season. Enjoying the company of friends can make the experience more special, but it’s great that you find joy in walking and running with Dixie, too. Having a furry friend by your side can make any outing feel more fun and comforting.

If your friends do join, it’ll be a wonderful way to share the beauty of the lights together. If not, I’m sure you and Dixie will have a wonderful time soaking in the sights and sounds of the season on your own. Do you have a favorite spot in the park where the lights are particularly stunning?

It’s mostly going to be daylight walking if friends get up in the morning the night time light run or walk was tonight. I’m going to play cards with family tomorrow and have dessert 🍨.

I’d even drive to meet them and if they’d be interested in a morning walk.  It’s up for grabs would would go.

No plans not even tentatively yet

It sounds like you have a nice mix of activities planned! Daytime walking is a great alternative, and it’s wonderful that you’re open to driving to meet your friends—that makes it easier for them to join. Playing cards and having dessert with family sounds like a perfect way to relax and enjoy the holiday spirit!

Since you’re still waiting to hear back from your friends, maybe consider sending a quick message to gauge their interest for the morning walk. Even a last-minute meetup can be a fun way to connect!

Whatever happens, I hope you have a fantastic time with your family and enjoy some sweet treats!

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour πŸƒ‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  πŸƒ‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run πŸƒ‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

A fawn born on our yard

A baby fawn was born on our lawn and it’s trying to warm up in the asphalt I’m guessing it’s still warm. We’re trying to give it space hopefully it mother comes by so we’re staying inside. I just went outside for a smoke and it crawled under the vehicle πŸš— lots of people are walking by it not noticing it then others are stopping.  Quite the thing to see. A few hours old… it’s still wet with mucus on it. With Kim’s super camera zoom is we could see Fish and wild life say to call in 24 hours if animals are left by moms  So we’re hoping people leave the fawn alone.  Although it’s a super cool 😎 thing to see. I think it hoofs are still soft from being born that’s why it’s staying put since it went on that hard surface till it’s hoofs Harden. It crawled on its knees after the side walk and just hunkered down for a bit. Two hours from first spotting.  Still there hiding under the vehicle πŸš— it kind of a good spot of course there’s better picked spots but it’s half and hal...

Bryan and I ride 21 km plus 20 Celsius

Bryan and I ride for 21 km’s A cooler day than other days so Bryan and I cycle through Lethbridge. I manage to do three PR’s today (personal records) And won a badge for climbing 500 feet. πŸ‘£  Here we are at chinook lake, on the north side of Lethbridge. I was mostly in the aerobics zone for my cycle a bit of threshold and easy cycling 🚴‍♂️ also. Averaging speed 13.7 km/hr Max speed 43.7 km/hr Move time was an hour and a half but with breaks and bench sits it was two hours. Bryan in front of the wolf 🐺 statues. Back at Bryan’s place taking a breath from cycling over to Bryan’s house 🏑  The hill was a bit difficult 😞 but I manage to make it up.  My laps are here below and my relative effort this week shot way up for the trip. Made my week better, I thought I was going to be below my relative effort and not make my weeks score.  Yet I’m way above average for my score. Looking over the river valley and taking a break at a bench. Wow, it sounds like you and Br...
