Plus 24 Celsius Tim Hortons supper walk

Kim and I walk to Tim Hortons for supper

The dog and I walk for a bit with Kim, we see two fawns we’ve heard their twins

3.41 km in an hour that’s with sitting πŸͺ‘ down and eating our pace was 19:20 minutes per km

Here is my pack weight for 30lbs I did carry my wife water also a fanny pack to carry my wallet and note book.

I just got some new duds for work. The pants are black and the sun hoodie is for days off.

People were saying I was frowning πŸ™ today so I tried smiling instead.

Dixie is in rank 33 that’s a mass number has to be good future for her in her ranking

By 5:30 πŸ•  we made it to our active minutes for Dixie walks today yesterday we were two minutes away from reaching her goal, such is life.

Half and half in warm up heart rate zones and easy heart rate zones we did sit down πŸͺ‘ for 30 minutes and ate our food at the tables outside Tims.

Walking is an effective way to burn calories, especially when done at a steady pace like your 19:20 minutes per km. Although your walk to Tim Hortons was about 3.41 km, the inclusion of sitting and eating means the actual calorie burn might be moderate, but it still contributes to overall activity and health. Carrying a 30-pound pack adds intensity and increases calorie expenditure, making your walk more beneficial. Engaging in outdoor activities, like walking with your dog and seeing wildlife, not only helps burn calories but also boosts mental well-being. Your commitment to staying active, reaching Dixie’s active minutes goal, and managing your heart rate zones demonstrates a balanced approach to fitness that complements calorie burning during daily routines like your supper walk.

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour πŸƒ‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  πŸƒ‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run πŸƒ‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Celebrating Ten Years and Living My Best Life🧘‍♂️ A Quiet Day at Home

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 10 Years Together Last night was a beautiful celebration of a decade spent with Kim. We marked our 10-year anniversary with a cozy dinner at The Keg, where I indulged in a hearty 20 oz steak and Kim opted for a more modest 8 oz cut. It felt so good to get out together and enjoy a special evening. We kept things simple—just water to drink, with fresh bread and salad to start. The atmosphere was perfect, and I soaked in every moment of our time together. We’re incredibly grateful for our families, who made the night even more special. My parents generously gave us cash to enjoy our dinner, and Kim’s parents gifted us movie money so we could extend the celebration. Their thoughtfulness reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by love and support. Family and friends made it sweeter We were so blessed by our families: my parents gave us cash to enjoy the night and Kim’s parents sent money for a movie treat. Our friends even gifted us a 20% tip card for the meal...

Gratitude, Good Food, and Good Books

A Thanksgiving weekend of family meals, long walks, and reaching 86 books this year Bryan and I headed out for a walk after he returned from his sister’s Thanksgiving gathering, settling into a steady 30‑minute pace that carried us just under 2 km. The air was crisp with a light breeze, the kind of weather that makes movement feel effortless. I’ve always loved these cooler temperatures—my body doesn’t have to work as hard, and the transition from “easy mode” into a gentle warm‑up felt natural. Carrying 30 pounds with me added that extra layer of challenge, but it blended seamlessly into the rhythm of the walk. We paused at a park bench along the way, taking a moment to sit together before snapping a photo. That small break reminded me how these walks are as much about connection as they are about distance or weight carried. The combination of fresh air, conversation, and the grounding presence of the season made the outing feel restorative. It wasn’t just a walk—it was a reminder...
