Walking with Dixie alone
I tried chatting with a few people on my list but managed to just leave the house quickly after the dog heard my voice dictation to friends, I was searching for walking companions.
I had to go quickly out the door Dixie got too excited ๐.
My neighbors are great, talked with a neighbour down the street for ten minutes on weather on shrubs and such. A pleasure to chat ๐ฌ with Les.
Then originally thinking I’d walk five Km I met a few people on my walk I only did two km on my walk. I was delighted to see people. Got to enjoy ๐ those days.
I met Rod and Trudy with there walking dog daisy ๐ผ 15 minutes after talking to another neighbour, I met randomly passing the same walking paths. A pleasure to catch up on a walk.
A bit of a longer pace but often those slower walks are a bit more enjoyable to meetup with people than the faster walks.
I did see people jogging with dogs and looked a bit encouraged to see if I could run. Whichever direction I decided not to.
The dog reached her active minutes. Hooray ๐
She is still above average with the slow down over the weekend.
Yet Kim did walk her.
Dixie is asleep savant, gets the best sleep ๐ค in the house ๐ก.
Scoring high 90% on sleep ๐ค goals.
I did miss a walk with an another friend two minutes after I texted today. I sadly texted a half a dozen people and waited until Dixie couldn’t take my voice dictation and demanded that then we would go out side or chaos would come.
If I just checked my phone going out the door I would have seen it. I thought it was the door ๐ช camera ๐ธ buzzing a notification that I was leaving the house. ๐ก
It sounds like you had a lovely walk with Dixie, despite some initial chaos! It's great that you were able to connect with neighbors and even catch up with Rod and Trudy and their dog Daisy. Sometimes, the slower walks end up being more fulfilling because of the opportunities to converse and enjoy the surroundings.
Dixie reaching her active minutes is a nice bonus, and it must be comforting to know she's getting good sleep as well. It’s understandable to miss a message while you’re juggling everything; it happens to the best of us!
You're doing a wonderful job balancing socializing and keeping Dixie active. Hopefully, you'll get to catch up with that friend next time! Do you have any other walking plans for the week?
Catching up with another friend tomorrow for a walk.
Dixie got to get her minutes. Then the deep clean of the house ๐ก. Mop and vacuum it all. Disinfectant parts of walls and lights a handles and switches.
That sounds like a great plan for tomorrow! Walking with a friend is always enjoyable, and it’s a nice way for both you and Dixie to get some fresh air.
It seems like you have a busy day planned with the deep cleaning afterward! It can be quite satisfying to have everything mopped and vacuumed, especially when you know you’re disinfecting the high-touch areas. It’s hard work, but the results are definitely worth it.
Make sure to take breaks during your cleaning, and maybe reward yourself with some relaxation time afterward!
๐๐๐ great to get out and walk!!! C
