Walk with Leif plus 11 outside and got productive training status

Even if it was only plus 11 outside it was getting to be warm outside

By the river, the dog did go in, I had to lay down another blanket in the vehicle πŸš— instead of the quilt i had down, I had on the back seat not to get the vehicle or quilt dirty.

I had fun 🀩

Dixie had a great time

Dixie with her funny facial expressions, we met another dog on our walk name Nigel. I said that was a cool name.

Dixie’s antics are pretty funny at times, but she was out of the water the entire time till the end of the walk but such as life it was all right. The dog got in the vehicle OK and everything turned out great.

A rarity of a name not on a dog but on a person also.

The river is lower than it’s usually been, and some people made rock pools in the river. The rock pools are all but on the edge of the river that’s how low the river has gotten that you can hardly see the rock pools anymore or the rock damn that used to be on the side of the river. It’s gone down that far.

The birds seems amused by them. When water was in tomorrow, it was blocking the water from moving. We’re slowing in the water down.

We walk a good 3.3 km but I started the tracker 15 minutes into the walk. So it would have been closer to 4 km.

Dixie’s sleep interruptions are a minimum last night after a few bad days.

A good change of behaviour.

I think my dog really needed these ten days off.

Since my time off I’ve got all four days achieved for the time of activity she needed to be above her breed score.

After today it’ll be five days in a row of scoring her activity minutes.

At the beginning of our walk I buy us coffee, ☕️ from Tim Hortons😊

Coffee is a great 😊 drink.

The wind was strong at seven in the morning but the morning after the sun came up slowed down from blowing so hard then by 11 picked up a bit more.

But not what it was last night.

It’s a pleasure walking with Leif, he’s a great conversationalist.

And happy πŸ˜ƒ we got to go for this walk on the weekend. Usually I’m working weekends so it’s somewhere of a pleasure o get a weekend off.

And to walk with some one different for a change.

It sounds like you had a wonderful adventure out by the river with Dixie! Your description really captures the joy of spending time outdoors, especially when the weather starts to warm up, even if it’s just a little.

It's great to hear that the walk was enjoyable and that Dixie got to socialize with another dog, Nigel. Dogs can be so expressive, and it’s fun to see their personalities shine through, especially with their funny faces.

It must have felt rewarding to achieve your activity goals after giving Dixie a break. Four consecutive days of activity tracking is impressive, and it’s fantastic to hear that her sleep has improved.

Having coffee from Tim Hortons adds a nice touch to your walk—nothing like a warm drink while enjoying nature! Plus, catching up with a good friend like Leif makes the day even better. How lovely it is to have the opportunity to share those moments on a weekend off!

Do you have any other plans for the weekend or upcoming walks?

Cleaning the house, 🏑 and garage and detailing the Mazda to sell it soon.  Those are some goals.

Dixie is climb from rank 28 on the leadership board in October to rank 26. She’s doing good..

😊

Dixie is now at my feet πŸ‘£, relaxed ☺️ and having a good morning.

And I’m supper happy, πŸ˜ƒ I’ve gone from maintaining my fitness status to being productive for my training status.

All good news all before noon.

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour πŸƒ‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  πŸƒ‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run πŸƒ‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Celebrating Ten Years and Living My Best Life🧘‍♂️ A Quiet Day at Home

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 10 Years Together Last night was a beautiful celebration of a decade spent with Kim. We marked our 10-year anniversary with a cozy dinner at The Keg, where I indulged in a hearty 20 oz steak and Kim opted for a more modest 8 oz cut. It felt so good to get out together and enjoy a special evening. We kept things simple—just water to drink, with fresh bread and salad to start. The atmosphere was perfect, and I soaked in every moment of our time together. We’re incredibly grateful for our families, who made the night even more special. My parents generously gave us cash to enjoy our dinner, and Kim’s parents gifted us movie money so we could extend the celebration. Their thoughtfulness reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by love and support. Family and friends made it sweeter We were so blessed by our families: my parents gave us cash to enjoy the night and Kim’s parents sent money for a movie treat. Our friends even gifted us a 20% tip card for the meal...

Night run 5 Celsius πŸƒ‍♂️

Night run πŸƒ‍♂️ after work  Dixie and I get running at 11 pm at night.  After work I do a 45 minute run πŸƒ‍♂️ doing 5 km we started at 10:12. It was 5 Celsius outside and I felt warm running πŸƒ‍♂️  I’m sweat πŸ˜“ a lot less than I did when I started I’d be in a full soaked sweat πŸ˜… the last six months I’ve improved 450 plus percent  That’s a good feeling, I’m happy πŸ˜ƒ to say.  Making a difference in my life and how I feel. Journaling, exercising, reading… Hey guys, Uh πŸ™„ I was wondering if any of you had remedies for reducing  Eh um  πŸ˜ cough… The feelings of existential dread and facing and bearing the weight of the crashing realities of life. Do you think turmeric will help?!?! I ask myself is exercise really like meditation where you get brain clarity and pay more attention to books or life. All of a sudden a gym membership looks doable this morning  a February post I go to say. Both is doable.  Life and books You don’t need a gym mem...
