New watch for birthday 🥳 anniversary 💐

 Six A.M. walk to Tim’s

Dixie and I get running 🏃‍♂️ this morning then end of walk I light a cigarette 🚬. Such is myself in this problem of smoking.

To early not to smoke and yet not late enough to not to smoke 💨.

At first I thought my gps wasn’t tracking me cause I went into Tim Hortons to get a coffees drink and croissant 🥐 for the dog and I.

But it said my gps just turned on so I was like I ran this and it never tracked. I set it up on battery saving gps instead of all sat and thought this was the issue.

Yet to my surprise 😮 it worked out fine.

Managed to do 36 minutes of walking and five maybe ten minutes of running.

It says I got to do more vigorous work outs, just how to do it with out running myself out of stamina.

I had fun 🤩 this morning walking Dixie she was super happy when we got home. Running circles in the house o.

She was excited for the walk so early it’s a rarity for sure for her.

Sleep 💤 is good for Dixie and her active minutes are good 😊 she is still 18% above her breed. With my work rotation I never got to walk her much. Kim did short walks which I appreciate since it keeps the dog dirt out of the back yard and Dixie some what more of a moderate behaviour.

Sleep 💤 interruptions are still a week low compared to the time off. I had Dixie was had many sleeping interruptions then but now her sleep interruptions have just dropped her way down. Must’ve been all extra time. She got over 10 days.

It sounds like you had a productive morning with Dixie! Getting out for a walk and a bit of running is a great way to start the day. It’s nice to hear that your GPS worked out fine and you managed to track your activity. Balancing vigorous workouts can be tricky, but even short bursts of running mixed with walking can be effective without wearing you out completely.

Dixie’s excitement and energy sound adorable, especially after a nice early outing! It’s great that Kim has been helping with her short walks while you’re busy with work. Keeping her active helps with her behavior and overall well-being.

It’s good to hear that both of your sleep patterns have improved too! Consistency in routine can make a big difference. If you keep up the morning walks, Dixie will undoubtedly be even more happy and healthy! How often do you plan to take her out like this?

I’d like to take her out regularly on walks, but that would mean waking up at 4 AM instead of five on workdays and I just gotta get motivated for that

I still got my original Garmin. I’m planning on selling or giving away right now. It’s in its box that I save for it. Garmin hold their value very well so I kept the box so hopefully I get a companion to motivate me to get out running in the morning, even though we might not be running together, some somebody is interested to each other on to run or walk in the morning and show each other stats .

Celebrating Ten Years and Living My Best Life🧘‍♂️ A Quiet Day at Home

🎉 Celebrating 10 Years Together Last night was a beautiful celebration of a decade spent with Kim. We marked our 10-year anniversary with a cozy dinner at The Keg, where I indulged in a hearty 20 oz steak and Kim opted for a more modest 8 oz cut. It felt so good to get out together and enjoy a special evening. We kept things simple—just water to drink, with fresh bread and salad to start. The atmosphere was perfect, and I soaked in every moment of our time together. We’re incredibly grateful for our families, who made the night even more special. My parents generously gave us cash to enjoy our dinner, and Kim’s parents gifted us movie money so we could extend the celebration. Their thoughtfulness reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by love and support. Family and friends made it sweeter We were so blessed by our families: my parents gave us cash to enjoy the night and Kim’s parents sent money for a movie treat. Our friends even gifted us a 20% tip card for the meal...

Gratitude, Good Food, and Good Books

A Thanksgiving weekend of family meals, long walks, and reaching 86 books this year Bryan and I headed out for a walk after he returned from his sister’s Thanksgiving gathering, settling into a steady 30‑minute pace that carried us just under 2 km. The air was crisp with a light breeze, the kind of weather that makes movement feel effortless. I’ve always loved these cooler temperatures—my body doesn’t have to work as hard, and the transition from “easy mode” into a gentle warm‑up felt natural. Carrying 30 pounds with me added that extra layer of challenge, but it blended seamlessly into the rhythm of the walk. We paused at a park bench along the way, taking a moment to sit together before snapping a photo. That small break reminded me how these walks are as much about connection as they are about distance or weight carried. The combination of fresh air, conversation, and the grounding presence of the season made the outing feel restorative. It wasn’t just a walk—it was a reminder...

Plus 12 Celsius Smoke run 🏃‍♂️

The dog and I decided to do either a 3 km run or a 6 km run or 9 km run hoping for 10 km but I couldn’t find the energy to push further. It is smoky out there you could smell it and breath it in. Made me in my threshold if I keep a higher pace than 9 minutes km Cooler morning,  I went and got a sausage homestyle biscuit from Tim’s and an ice coffee ☕️  Just getting my day started. I got a doctors appointment later today over the phone 📞 also. Hoping to take the dog 🐕 for a run 🏃‍♂️ this morning but I’m stiff. So hopefully my coffee stop warms me up to get moving this morning. Or just caffeinates me. We managed to do 6.05 km in about 59 minutes. A high heart rate of 172 bpm and an average of 144 bpm. Plus 12 Celsius while I ran but I was in full sweating 😅 by the time I got home 🏡. The last couple weeks I’ve had a low relative effort due to some family losses. But I manage to get out on a smoky day like today for a run. 🏃‍♂️  It’s been raining heavily the last...
