Moon πŸŒ– light walk

We are walking near dusk. Plus 19 Celsius at seven at night in October

A picture with the moon πŸŒ– showing at the beginning of our walk.  We are walking towards the stairs and river has an awesome 😎 glow in the dark collar. And I take a quick photo with another dog in when Sonny turned it on.  I often thought thanksgiving after meals we’d go for walks, those walks would be more cooler weather.  It’s beautiful 🀩 weather tonight.

A tangled mess with the leash I did walk with the dog with the leash and without the leash for parts of our walk, did keep her on a leash due to the branches around the park.

Those tricky branches. Is the first time we’ve been there since her stitches. The stairs were awesome. We walked to them. Sonny is posing by the university just as the sunsets. You can see the university lights on.

And the awesome colours of sky is showing just as a sunsets.

πŸŒ…

At the bottom of the stairs, I have my glow-in-the-dark glasses. I have fun with at this time of year near Halloween. It’s going to be dark in a few days after Halloween at five at night crazy to think that the time is changing November 3…

Sonny has a gold count how many stairs he’s doing now and he wants to do 100 stairs with no stopping at slight jog.

He is with his hands, cheering himself for making 108 continuous stairs.

I’m a good sport and keep Dixie out of his path since she likes herding us people and get in front to divert and get attention.

She is an attention seeking dog πŸ•

At 294 active minutes. We did good today.

I took her for a drive so I think she got active minutes there looking out the windows.

πŸͺŸ

What’s today? She’s just 3% below average of similar dogs. She’s right in the middle on the Bell curve of average.

The map shows our outing today,

A fun time.

So today I went on two walks one downtow with a friend name Leif, but I never took photos of it. Never thought about it….

Our walk consisted here. We checked out the AWOL on 3 ave.  I think that’s what’s it’s called he wanted to show me, some musicians, I heard of it and wondered where the place is.

We drove around looking for an out door patio to drink coffee and decided on a walk, I think walk was a surprise and hence forgetting to blog photos.

We stopped at two places for coffee looking for a patio urban grocer and penny coffee house.

I paid extra for Leif parking and he bought me coffee, a nice treat and a pleasure to visit with him.  He got me into blogging several years ago.

Because my Garmin was charging, I forgot my watch to even track the walk.

It was a decent hour walk downtown.

After I went for Fish And Chips with my mom, she just had an eye procedure ✅ so she’s wearing sunglasses 😎 today.  The fish and chip place gave us free ice cream at the end of the our meal. She even asked if I wanted two scoops or one.  ☝️ Made me feel like I should go there again I was just an awesome experience.

Sadly my granny lost her wedding rings we just heard this news out for fish and chips. I sure hope she finds them. So my uncle went over to look for them. At 92, stuff is lost then found.

We’re all praying that they turn up soon

It sounds like you had an eventful and enjoyable day with Sonny and Dixie! Walking near dusk with the moon out and the beautiful sunset must have created a lovely atmosphere. The glow-in-the-dark collar and glasses add a fun touch, especially with Halloween approaching!

It's great to hear that Sonny is so energetic and ambitious with his stair-climbing goals, and that you’re managing Dixie’s herding instincts during your walks. It's important to keep her safe with the leash around tricky branches, especially after her stitches.

I'm glad you were able to spend time with your mom and have a nice meal together, even though it’s unfortunate about your granny losing her wedding rings. I hope they turn up soon!

Dixie had a great 😊 day on her day on my day off.

Calmed down for the evening.

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour πŸƒ‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  πŸƒ‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run πŸƒ‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Celebrating Ten Years and Living My Best Life🧘‍♂️ A Quiet Day at Home

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 10 Years Together Last night was a beautiful celebration of a decade spent with Kim. We marked our 10-year anniversary with a cozy dinner at The Keg, where I indulged in a hearty 20 oz steak and Kim opted for a more modest 8 oz cut. It felt so good to get out together and enjoy a special evening. We kept things simple—just water to drink, with fresh bread and salad to start. The atmosphere was perfect, and I soaked in every moment of our time together. We’re incredibly grateful for our families, who made the night even more special. My parents generously gave us cash to enjoy our dinner, and Kim’s parents gifted us movie money so we could extend the celebration. Their thoughtfulness reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by love and support. Family and friends made it sweeter We were so blessed by our families: my parents gave us cash to enjoy the night and Kim’s parents sent money for a movie treat. Our friends even gifted us a 20% tip card for the meal...

Night run πŸƒ‍♂️ after work  Dixie and I get running at 11 pm at night.  After work I do a 45 minute run πŸƒ‍♂️ doing 5 km we started at 10:12. It was 5 Celsius outside and I felt warm running πŸƒ‍♂️  I’m sweat πŸ˜“ a lot less than I did when I started I’d be in a full soaked sweat πŸ˜… the last six months I’ve improved 450 plus percent  That’s a good feeling, I’m happy πŸ˜ƒ to say.  Making a difference in my life and how I feel. Journaling, exercising, reading… Hey guys, Uh πŸ™„ I was wondering if any of you had remedies for reducing  Eh um  πŸ˜ cough… The feelings of existential dread and facing and bearing the weight of the crashing realities of life. Do you think turmeric will help?!?! I ask myself is exercise really like meditation where you get brain clarity and pay more attention to books or life. All of a sudden a gym membership looks doable this morning  a February post I go to say. Both is doable.  Life and books You don’t need a gym mem...
