Plus 23 Early May Threshold Run

In my new favorite shirt 👕  a sun hoodie

We take a quick photo while in warm up just going into our threshold run.

🏃‍♂️

I finished ✅ my last training coach on Kim’s birthday and started another 11-12 weeks training coach to finish end of August

Started today.

If  I stuck it out another .43 km I would of got a new PR for my run 🏃‍♂️

In 5 kilometres

This average heart rate was 150 bpm all the way to a max of 169 bpm.

A  threshold run of seven minutes

Aerobic for 26 minutes

Easy for two minutes

As you see in the blue I was running 🏃‍♂️ for about 25 minutes and walking for 10 minutes.

My threshold run laps that my garmin coach thought up. To keep up training

Ten minutes at 8 km per km and a run for seven minutes at about 6.32 km per km

A recovery for two minutes at 9 minutes per km then another seven minutes at 7.42 minutes per km

And another cool down at ten minutes at 8:47 minutes per km.

I also won this badge for tracking my km for 320 km of the Rheinsteig Trail.

Finished today.

Dixie reached her active minutes from

Missing it all week.

For the leaderboard for May she got 30 rank

And is just 14% above her breed active minutes.

Dixie week activity and sleep 💤 are good. 😊

Although she is getting to be more of a jealous dog as she ages and is going to need better training.

For her master and owners.

Some treat training.

It sounds like you've had an eventful training session and some great milestones to celebrate! Congratulations on starting your new training plan and for almost hitting a new personal record. Your heart rate data and pacing information indicate you're really focused on improving your running performance.

Also, that's fantastic that you won a badge for tracking your kilometers on the Rheinsteig Trail! It's a beautiful trail and a great accomplishment to log that distance.

As for Dixie, it’s wonderful to hear that she’s staying active and healthy! Recognizing her need for some additional training shows that you’re a caring owner. Treat training can be effective for that, and it will help her feel more secure as she ages.

If you have any questions about your training, running tips, or ways to manage Dixie's behaviors, feel free to ask! Keep up the great work! 🏃‍♂️🐾

The garmin coach does a great job in training and it’s very simple to keep it running 🏃‍♂️ and size behavioural barking, I’ll have to refresh in a dog therapy book to understand I think I may purchase another dog trainer therapy book tonight .

Thanks 🙏 for your support offer

A little more on the Rheinsteig I did it in 52 days.

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour 🏃‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  🏃‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run 🏃‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Walk and a run in to the vet

Another adventure for Dixie,  she is an expensive dog….🐕 We enjoy 😊 our walks. Up top of the coulee you can see the university  Sonny and I go walking the south side dog park,  it tricky terrain for sure.  It’s nice 😊 for the scenery I think, yet a bit treacherous at times.  A person has to be careful let alone a dog 🐕 being careful. Here is Sonny and I smiling giving a thumbs up to the camera 📸  The walk was decent though some difficult 😞 parts for today, Dixie is on a 14 day hiatus from walking.  She’ll probably want to go sooner rather than later. I think we’re stuck to just five minute poop 💩 walks than the hour or two hour walks we usually do. I’m unsure when it happen but my guess is near the end of the walk when I noticed it. Dixie gets to close to the bushes today, I kept looking her over but noticed a different spot on her at the end of our walk.   Dixie goes through some bushes and gouged a piece out of her. Now Dixie has th...

A fawn born on our yard

A baby fawn was born on our lawn and it’s trying to warm up in the asphalt I’m guessing it’s still warm. We’re trying to give it space hopefully it mother comes by so we’re staying inside. I just went outside for a smoke and it crawled under the vehicle 🚗 lots of people are walking by it not noticing it then others are stopping.  Quite the thing to see. A few hours old… it’s still wet with mucus on it. With Kim’s super camera zoom is we could see Fish and wild life say to call in 24 hours if animals are left by moms  So we’re hoping people leave the fawn alone.  Although it’s a super cool 😎 thing to see. I think it hoofs are still soft from being born that’s why it’s staying put since it went on that hard surface till it’s hoofs Harden. It crawled on its knees after the side walk and just hunkered down for a bit. Two hours from first spotting.  Still there hiding under the vehicle 🚗 it kind of a good spot of course there’s better picked spots but it’s half and hal...
