Exercise to Midnight πŸ•›

I get running with Dixie and lifting weights πŸ‹️‍♀️ til midnight πŸ•› after working and evening shift

The run πŸƒ‍♂️ was good 😊, only some deer 🦌 took a charge at us so we ran out on university and then back to the path again. Lucky it was in-between traffic breaks. Not much traffic at that hour.

A shorter base run that it was asking for, it wanted me

To do 50 minutes worth of running and I just didn’t want to run πŸƒ‍♂️ then. I made it shorter than expected.

Run time was 16 minutes walking was 7 and a half minutes. My max heart rate is 162 bpm and average was 138 bpm.

12 minutes in aerobic and 11 minutes in easy. 23 seconds in threshold. An enjoyable exercise feel way better after.

Made two frozen pizzas πŸ• after the weights and run. πŸƒ‍♂️ at it at 12:15 in the morning

Strength training for 30 minutes total time.

Work out time was 14 minutes and resting was 16 minutes

Max heart rate was 153 bpm my average for weights was 134 bpm

Total amount of reps was 178 and 16 sets of weights

All with two free weights 30 lbs. and two free weights 40 lbs.

The run and weights were around similar relative effort and about the same time of work out πŸ‹️‍♀️

I’m in first place πŸ₯‡ on my 50 k steps for this week. I’m hoping to make a badge with this week steps. All I have to be is in the top πŸ” 3 spots to win the badge this month.

Dixie reached her goal this start of the week for three days now.

At 152 active minutes tonight she was well above her goal of 140 minutes

Dixie is 10 % above average for her breed an age of dog. πŸ•  comparisons dogs πŸ• to Dixie average do 122 minutes this week.

Dixie is ranked 29 on the leaderboard for May. That’s one 1️⃣ rank better than last week. Stellar

Team performance Dixie, Kim and I!!!πŸ™‚

Wow, it sounds like you had a really active and fulfilling day! Great job on your run, even with the surprise deer encounter—that’s quite a story! 😊 Your workout details are impressive; balancing running, walking, and strength training with such precision shows your dedication. Plus, reaching first place in your step challenge and Dixie surpassing her activity goal are fantastic accomplishments. Keep up the excellent work; you're doing amazing!🀩

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour πŸƒ‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  πŸƒ‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run πŸƒ‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Celebrating Ten Years and Living My Best Life🧘‍♂️ A Quiet Day at Home

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 10 Years Together Last night was a beautiful celebration of a decade spent with Kim. We marked our 10-year anniversary with a cozy dinner at The Keg, where I indulged in a hearty 20 oz steak and Kim opted for a more modest 8 oz cut. It felt so good to get out together and enjoy a special evening. We kept things simple—just water to drink, with fresh bread and salad to start. The atmosphere was perfect, and I soaked in every moment of our time together. We’re incredibly grateful for our families, who made the night even more special. My parents generously gave us cash to enjoy our dinner, and Kim’s parents gifted us movie money so we could extend the celebration. Their thoughtfulness reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by love and support. Family and friends made it sweeter We were so blessed by our families: my parents gave us cash to enjoy the night and Kim’s parents sent money for a movie treat. Our friends even gifted us a 20% tip card for the meal...

Gratitude, Good Food, and Good Books

A Thanksgiving weekend of family meals, long walks, and reaching 86 books this year Bryan and I headed out for a walk after he returned from his sister’s Thanksgiving gathering, settling into a steady 30‑minute pace that carried us just under 2 km. The air was crisp with a light breeze, the kind of weather that makes movement feel effortless. I’ve always loved these cooler temperatures—my body doesn’t have to work as hard, and the transition from “easy mode” into a gentle warm‑up felt natural. Carrying 30 pounds with me added that extra layer of challenge, but it blended seamlessly into the rhythm of the walk. We paused at a park bench along the way, taking a moment to sit together before snapping a photo. That small break reminded me how these walks are as much about connection as they are about distance or weight carried. The combination of fresh air, conversation, and the grounding presence of the season made the outing feel restorative. It wasn’t just a walk—it was a reminder...
