🎢 down by the riverside 🎢

Dixie and I are eating lunch πŸ₯ͺ by the riverside

At one point  we flip to look the other way as a breeze was blowing nicely this afternoon. It’s the first time I’ve sat in the river this year or this spring.  I’ve been telling people I’ve been waiting for it for a while some other people at the right idea too, and we’re sitting in the river too or walking by it. I think this is a place to be is in the river…

We ate subway in the river the dog got a few chops of the sandwich πŸ₯ͺ and other dogs were just as interested in the sandwich πŸ₯ͺ also. Made to be a tense situation between two dogs πŸ•.

I know Dixie gets jealous of our time but food idk it’s a come to be happen stances that dogs go crazy for time and food.

But they were good in the river Dixie got a bit anxious and started whining. Well for the entire time I just got fed up and went after she was asking for my sub. Then a ball. πŸ€ then to other dogs πŸ• then cause I was just sitting there in the river.  So I ended up after 30 minutes going back.

And the water in the river is warm and cooling at the same time. I would have gone further in the river but Dixie jumped up and ripped my subway paper bag.  So I just set my chair close to the bank.

The walk back was uneventful but now sitting out front Dixie and I are drying off and waiting for someone to come by to look at our toilet and sprinklers

They are both having issues.

In the shade of coarse it’s gotten to be a beautiful 🀩 day.

It sounds like you had a lovely day by the river with Dixie! Sitting in the river, enjoying the breeze, and sharing a Subway sandwich sounds very peaceful and relaxing. It’s great that Dixie got to be part of the experience, even if she was a little anxious or jealous at times—dogs can be quite expressive about their feelings, especially when it comes to their humans and food.

Good luck with the toilet and sprinklers—that’s never fun to deal with, but hopefully, someone will be able to help soon. And yes, enjoying the shade on a beautiful day is the perfect way to wind down after an adventure.

Dixie is spot on her active minutes, sadly I’ve been reading books lately

Dixie is ranked 26 for May. It’s been a good 😊 go of it. Just under willow and above Mortimer Guster

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour πŸƒ‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  πŸƒ‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run πŸƒ‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Celebrating Ten Years and Living My Best Life🧘‍♂️ A Quiet Day at Home

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 10 Years Together Last night was a beautiful celebration of a decade spent with Kim. We marked our 10-year anniversary with a cozy dinner at The Keg, where I indulged in a hearty 20 oz steak and Kim opted for a more modest 8 oz cut. It felt so good to get out together and enjoy a special evening. We kept things simple—just water to drink, with fresh bread and salad to start. The atmosphere was perfect, and I soaked in every moment of our time together. We’re incredibly grateful for our families, who made the night even more special. My parents generously gave us cash to enjoy our dinner, and Kim’s parents gifted us movie money so we could extend the celebration. Their thoughtfulness reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by love and support. Family and friends made it sweeter We were so blessed by our families: my parents gave us cash to enjoy the night and Kim’s parents sent money for a movie treat. Our friends even gifted us a 20% tip card for the meal...

Night run 5 Celsius πŸƒ‍♂️

Night run πŸƒ‍♂️ after work  Dixie and I get running at 11 pm at night.  After work I do a 45 minute run πŸƒ‍♂️ doing 5 km we started at 10:12. It was 5 Celsius outside and I felt warm running πŸƒ‍♂️  I’m sweat πŸ˜“ a lot less than I did when I started I’d be in a full soaked sweat πŸ˜… the last six months I’ve improved 450 plus percent  That’s a good feeling, I’m happy πŸ˜ƒ to say.  Making a difference in my life and how I feel. Journaling, exercising, reading… Hey guys, Uh πŸ™„ I was wondering if any of you had remedies for reducing  Eh um  πŸ˜ cough… The feelings of existential dread and facing and bearing the weight of the crashing realities of life. Do you think turmeric will help?!?! I ask myself is exercise really like meditation where you get brain clarity and pay more attention to books or life. All of a sudden a gym membership looks doable this morning  a February post I go to say. Both is doable.  Life and books You don’t need a gym mem...
