Plus 8 Celsius run 5 km

I’m running again this 5 km kept my head buzzing the entire time.

Felt dizzy 😵‍💫 the entire time, all those years of smoking and my lungs 🫁 were like yeah let’s move through all this chemical and work again.

Five km in 47 minutes I still want to be at 37 minutes for five km but I should be happy with this result. I don’t feel so tired 😴 and this was supposed to be a rest day for me.  But since I missed a few runs in the week I decided to run 🏃‍♂️ on my rest day.

Dixie is supper excited 😆 to be home after our run, was was doing laps around the house 🏡 when we got home 🏡 full of enjoyment from our run.  She is eating now she didn’t want to eat til we ran. Was getting noticeable depressed see we never went out right after work.

Run time and walk time was evenly split between.  My heart rate jump up to 182 bpm and I was in a head rush most the run. 🏃‍♂️

My pace was all around 9 minutes per km, I never went all in on my run just tried to make it enjoyable.

Hit my maximum for 32 seconds, over the threshold but I also stayed in aerobic mostly.

I have to say the sky felt magically different with my head rush, it was like a 47 minute run. 🏃‍♂️

And plus 9 Celsius was with some wind kept the heat down but also gave the head a cold plunge.

Dixie is only 9 % above her dog breed active minutes.  I only got one day off for now, so hoping I go again tomorrow to start the week in a the race.

Dixie and I at the last km some were in the last km.

It sounds like you had quite the experience during your 5 km run! It’s great to hear you’re pushing yourself and trying to improve your time. Running can be tough, especially when your body is still adjusting from past habits. That dizziness can be quite disorienting, but it’s awesome that you’re managing to keep going!

It's good to know that Dixie enjoyed the run as well and that she’s staying active! She must have felt thrilled to finally get out after missing some time. It’s nice that you both were able to share that experience together.

Your pace of around 9 minutes per kilometer shows you’re making steady progress, and it's important that you focus on enjoyment over speed for now. Running at a comfortable pace while also pushing slightly can help your endurance.

Getting out there again tomorrow sounds like a plan, especially since you’re aiming for a 37-minute 5 km in the future! With dedication and effort, you’ll reach that goal. Just make sure to listen to your body and allow yourself proper recovery too.

Good luck on your next run, and enjoy your time with Dixie! 🏃‍♂️🐾

My heart beat per minute is a little all over I think but manageable so AI 🤖 was saying my pace near 4 seconds was my best but average was 9 ‘minutes per km.

Awesome 😎 evening.

Near the end of the week I decided to go well above my weekly average range. But I managed to get back into productive training status rather being in recovery ❤️‍🩹 for today. That’s positive update.

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour 🏃‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  🏃‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run 🏃‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

A fawn born on our yard

A baby fawn was born on our lawn and it’s trying to warm up in the asphalt I’m guessing it’s still warm. We’re trying to give it space hopefully it mother comes by so we’re staying inside. I just went outside for a smoke and it crawled under the vehicle 🚗 lots of people are walking by it not noticing it then others are stopping.  Quite the thing to see. A few hours old… it’s still wet with mucus on it. With Kim’s super camera zoom is we could see Fish and wild life say to call in 24 hours if animals are left by moms  So we’re hoping people leave the fawn alone.  Although it’s a super cool 😎 thing to see. I think it hoofs are still soft from being born that’s why it’s staying put since it went on that hard surface till it’s hoofs Harden. It crawled on its knees after the side walk and just hunkered down for a bit. Two hours from first spotting.  Still there hiding under the vehicle 🚗 it kind of a good spot of course there’s better picked spots but it’s half and hal...

Bryan and I ride 21 km plus 20 Celsius

Bryan and I ride for 21 km’s A cooler day than other days so Bryan and I cycle through Lethbridge. I manage to do three PR’s today (personal records) And won a badge for climbing 500 feet. 👣  Here we are at chinook lake, on the north side of Lethbridge. I was mostly in the aerobics zone for my cycle a bit of threshold and easy cycling 🚴‍♂️ also. Averaging speed 13.7 km/hr Max speed 43.7 km/hr Move time was an hour and a half but with breaks and bench sits it was two hours. Bryan in front of the wolf 🐺 statues. Back at Bryan’s place taking a breath from cycling over to Bryan’s house 🏡  The hill was a bit difficult 😞 but I manage to make it up.  My laps are here below and my relative effort this week shot way up for the trip. Made my week better, I thought I was going to be below my relative effort and not make my weeks score.  Yet I’m way above average for my score. Looking over the river valley and taking a break at a bench. Wow, it sounds like you and Br...
