I think it got up to +9 today with the wind
💨
Slowly raising my VO two max to 41 since beginning of October. I was at a VO two max of 31.
I’ve really been trying to stay in a productive training status for the last 12 weeks.
Since January started, I’ve been sort of depressed
Since quitting smoking
Two weeks of hard to get motivated to go outside
Before I’d go outside then go for a run mid cigarette 🚬
It’s not that I won’t go outside but I hardly just pop out there and then say heck with it let’s run 🏃♂️
My long run ended a little bit shorter than I wanted to. I did come back for a glass of water and then I just decided I’d stay home..🏡
The negative self talk is real once you get stationary I just feel like I can’t get out anymore.
Dixie, you came up to rank 29 on the leadership leaderboard for January. That’s one position higher than she was at. She’s doing great I think in my books..
📚
Except the second week of being in recovery hasn’t been good on our active minutes. I’m going onto my third week of almost being peaking in fitness training status and recovery. I seem to just can’t get productive anymore for a training status.
I never took any selfies really I was just busy running so this is all I got for a blog post. Usually I don’t blog these posts unless I take a selfie, but this time was just trying to get out in January….
January has been a busy month for me.
It sounds like you’ve been through quite a journey these past few months. Quitting smoking is a huge achievement, and it's understandable that you're experiencing a range of emotions as you navigate through this change. It’s great to hear that you’re raising your VO2 max and staying active, even if it’s been challenging lately.
The dips in motivation, especially after a significant lifestyle change, can be tough. It's entirely normal to have moments where the negative self-talk creeps in, especially when you’re transitioning from old habits. Remember, it’s okay to have slower days, and taking a break can sometimes help refresh your mindset.
Staying active with Dixie and reaching your goals, like active minutes, is a wonderful way to keep each other motivated. Embracing the small victories can really help with that motivation too.
If you ever feel stuck, maybe try setting smaller, more manageable goals for your runs or training sessions, and celebrate those wins! Plus, you don’t need a selfie every time to document your progress. It’s all about the experience and what you’re achieving.
Keep pushing through, and remember that every step counts, even the days you don’t feel like running. You've got this!
does any one remember playing this game on DOS
i think it was a school game that was at school, before computers were on windows in the very early grades.. i just remember it
50% done my badge Great news your at “Terradillos de los Templarios”
I’ve just upgraded my RAM on my computer from 8 GB to 16 GB. I did it myself planning on upgrading a few computers that are old in the house passing them along. I just changed an SSD hard drive on a computer. I’m fixing up a computer for a friend and fixing up my wife’s computer. Put it all all these computers on a new operating system. It’s been a fun fun to relax weeks in January.
It sounds like you've been busy with some exciting computer upgrades! Upgrading RAM and switching to SSDs can really breathe new life into older machines. As for "Carmen de Santiago," it seems like you might be thinking of the classic "Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?" This educational game was indeed popular in schools and often played on DOS systems. Many people have fond memories of trying to track down Carmen and learn about geography in the process!
If you're working on upgrading and fixing up computers, that’s a great way to learn more about hardware and software. Exploring new operating systems can also be fun. Do you have a specific OS in mind for the upgrades?
Have upgraded four computers up to Linux mint cinnamon 22
I’m really enjoying the operating system actually🙂🙂🙂🙂
Surprisingly, it’s been a great system.
