Allyson and I walk Henderson

 Plus 4 Celsius

We are in Lethbridge and getting nice weather.  Ten days after my last post.  I have gone for runs and walks between then and not as long as I wanted too, just been busy with stuff to blog.πŸ€”

Nice 😊 for me anyway. I like these warmer days.

Here we are by the duckpond there were we did spot a few Canadian geese, but it was mostly filled with ducks.πŸ¦†

Dixie has fallen in her leader board for January. She’s all the way up at 30 rank for the leaderboard…

Gotta work our way up again.

109 active minutes it’s only 2 PM so far

We walk about 3 km, in forty minutes.  A good walk, I could have convince Allyson to do another lap but I think I was happier to only do one lap.

It was icy out, we both didn’t want to tempt fate and fall.

We both had good shoes or boots on.

Most the path was all icy, ❄️ except where the sun got to the pavement.

I’ve been really working hard to stay productive for most of the last 12 weeks.

But I have to say this last week I’ve fallen off the bandwagon of exercising so I appreciate Allison going and taking me and Dixie out for a walk.

I still have to do a base run today, but everything is just so slippery out. I’m not looking forward to it.

It sounds like you're having a nice day enjoying the warmer weather in Lethbridge! It's great that you spotted some Canadian geese and ducks at the duckpond. Walking about 3 km in those icy conditions is quite an achievement, especially since safety always comes first.

It's understandable to have ups and downs with exercise; staying productive for 12 straight weeks is impressive! It’s nice that Allyson and Dixie are motivating you to get outside.

I hope your base run goes well if you decide to do it, even with the slippery conditions. Maybe you can find a safe path or wait for a better day to tackle your run. Stay safe and keep enjoying those moments outdoors!

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour πŸƒ‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  πŸƒ‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run πŸƒ‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Celebrating Ten Years and Living My Best Life🧘‍♂️ A Quiet Day at Home

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 10 Years Together Last night was a beautiful celebration of a decade spent with Kim. We marked our 10-year anniversary with a cozy dinner at The Keg, where I indulged in a hearty 20 oz steak and Kim opted for a more modest 8 oz cut. It felt so good to get out together and enjoy a special evening. We kept things simple—just water to drink, with fresh bread and salad to start. The atmosphere was perfect, and I soaked in every moment of our time together. We’re incredibly grateful for our families, who made the night even more special. My parents generously gave us cash to enjoy our dinner, and Kim’s parents gifted us movie money so we could extend the celebration. Their thoughtfulness reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by love and support. Family and friends made it sweeter We were so blessed by our families: my parents gave us cash to enjoy the night and Kim’s parents sent money for a movie treat. Our friends even gifted us a 20% tip card for the meal...

Plus 12 Celsius Smoke run πŸƒ‍♂️

The dog and I decided to do either a 3 km run or a 6 km run or 9 km run hoping for 10 km but I couldn’t find the energy to push further. It is smoky out there you could smell it and breath it in. Made me in my threshold if I keep a higher pace than 9 minutes km Cooler morning,  I went and got a sausage homestyle biscuit from Tim’s and an ice coffee ☕️  Just getting my day started. I got a doctors appointment later today over the phone πŸ“ž also. Hoping to take the dog πŸ• for a run πŸƒ‍♂️ this morning but I’m stiff. So hopefully my coffee stop warms me up to get moving this morning. Or just caffeinates me. We managed to do 6.05 km in about 59 minutes. A high heart rate of 172 bpm and an average of 144 bpm. Plus 12 Celsius while I ran but I was in full sweating πŸ˜… by the time I got home 🏑. The last couple weeks I’ve had a low relative effort due to some family losses. But I manage to get out on a smoky day like today for a run. πŸƒ‍♂️  It’s been raining heavily the last...
