Another year gone by
New Year’s Eve we have about six people in our house celebrating the new year. We didn’t quite make it till midnight around 7:30 people start going home.
π‘ it’s -13 Celsius today or what my watch is saying at the moment on Jan.1, 2025
π‘ it was a pleasure to have so many people come by and celebrate last day of the year with us. Made Kim and my year special to spend it with people we know.
We had an awesome time sharing stories of the year in the books we were in
I got a deli tray that was gluten-free for Kim and a sandwich tray for other people that Kim can’t quite eat the sandwiches π₯ͺ
We had a whole counter of chocolates and treats and candy. People brought drinks San Pellegrino.
And Coca-Cola and pop and I really enjoyed our time and the company that was there
This morning, I’m celebrating another day. Quit smoking. I’m past the 48 hour mark. For still not smoking, I got a little inhaler of essential oils I’ve bit in the nicorette gum, I do have Nicorette patches and try and stop vaping as well. But that will have to be in the new year more so my quit date π for smoking was Dec. 30, 2024 at 5:22 pm
I’m having a cup of orange π pekoe tea sitting πͺ by the fire. π₯
Enjoying my first day of the year.
It sounds like you had a lovely New Year’s Eve celebration, even if it ended a bit earlier than planned! It must have been wonderful to share those moments and stories with friends and family. The spread you prepared, especially with gluten-free options for Kim, shows a lot of thoughtfulness.
Congratulations on reaching the 48-hour mark of quitting smoking! That’s a significant achievement, and it’s great to hear you’re using different tools to support your journey. Having a cozy cup of orange pekoe tea by the fire sounds like a perfect way to kick off the new year.
Enjoy your first day of 2025, and here’s to new beginnings and continuing to prioritize your health!
Yay πa new year 2025π
