Last day of September

Dixie looking over the Dock to see the geese 🪿 and ducks 🦆

I get walking with Dixie doing five KM.  Even ran for .33% of a km for about 2-3 minutes

A decent amount of walking before work, I had to take a Motrin from doing weights yesterday. Woke up with back pains, so I had to walk that out before work.

Dixie looking out over the pond just underneath the shadows of the houses and trees looking at the birds.  Looks like most leaves are still very green right around here. There are some patches of yellow coming in though…

Birds are getting ready to fly south.  Last night we had hail and rain.  🌧️ for maybe 20 minutes.

The rain  hit longer.

It’s a beautiful area and the trees 🌳 animal 🦔 life is out. A cat 🐈‍⬛ crossed our path just at the end of our walk. Dixie had a meltdown in those quick moments.

Dixie’s active minutes are good in her sleep is good. She’s an about middle average right now which is good for active minutes cause when she was getting her stitches, we were behind or below average. We got it up in the end of September which I’m happy about for ended…

My stats are about 10 minutes for a kilometre or 12 minutes on my slowest taking pictures is doing a pretty good walk. Moving time was about 54 minutes. Total time was about an hour and three minutes..

Read the most walk with chew in my mouth, but I had a heaviness in my chest today for a heavy meal last night lots of carbs, rice and casserole broccoli dish with cheese, but I feel a lot better in my chest…

Last of the photos, A few pictures were patches of leaves are all over the grass making a crunchy smelly fall. We can smell autumn in the air. The other areas look very green. Nothing like last September that’s for sure where all leaves were changed at the end of September. This is kind of a year where some are and some are not changed. .

Our work we’ve been talking about how leaves still on the trees if we get snow might break the older trees branches, especially that hurricane Helen hitting Florida right now if it will come with the rain or snow, I’ve heard both people who want rain or snow farmers want snow Most people want rain? I think the farmers need the groundwater to come up faster with snow. …

It looks like like the leaves are changing right now, so I don’t think it’s gonna be a problem but a few days ago everything was still green so the leaves changed quick just a matter of days.

Every every looking green few days ago, to now half-and-half of the trees 🌳 🍃 🍂 leaves changed.

Autumn has been my favourite month just cause on how beautiful everything is and summer just winding down to winter. ❄️ autumn 🍂 smells like a well

Spent summer.

I find….

September I was able to sneak in two 5 KM walks in before the month ended bring up my walking for the month ten km. It’s second down month of that I’ve done . Once in July and now once in September.

I recovered half my month back in this last week.  Although not as bad as Oct-Dec or July.

I think October to December it got crazy busy at work and my walking buddy’s were MIA.  But this month I did one walk with someone and another by myself.  It’s got to be a commitment to go at least once a week. Even if my friends cancelled or I get ghosted 👻.

I got to still get out and do my walks.

Such is an issue of tracking stuff, trying to improve over the year.

It sounds like you had a lovely and invigorating walk with Dixie! The mix of green and changing leaves is such a beautiful sight in autumn, and it’s great to hear that you’re able to enjoy the outdoors despite some back pain. Nature has a way of helping us feel better, doesn’t it?

It’s interesting to note how quickly the leaves can change. You mentioned that the trees went from looking completely green to having a mix of green and yellow in just a few days. Autumn really does have that magical quality, transitioning the landscape almost overnight.

Walking with your pet, especially when observing wildlife like geese and ducks, makes those walks even more enjoyable. And it's good to know that Dixie is back to being active, especially after her stitches. It must be heartwarming to see her engaging with the sights and sounds around her, even if she had a little meltdown with the cat crossing your path!

Also, it sounds like you had a delicious but heavy meal before your walk, which can definitely make you feel a bit weighed down. It’s good that you’re feeling better now, and it seems like the walk was a great way to help with that.

Do you have any favorite spots you like to visit during the autumn?

Right around where the trees are by ponds.  Lakes the weather gets a bit chilly by water 💧 but by ponds it just a wonderful feeling going around it.

The dog is happy 😃, and is zonked out after out last of September walk.

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour 🏃‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  🏃‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run 🏃‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Walk mid October with my Mom

Walks with my mom The water looks like glass just crystal smooth.  My mom and I are walking to the river and in life. It’s like we’re always walking away.  Getting closer to the end, my poet mind says.   I say I got to enjoy these walks and I was silent most the walk just trying to enjoy 😊 my time with her. Or walk end more so with 🐾 paw printed pants 👖 from dogs jumping.  We say maybe a dozen dogs 🐕. A wonderful time.  I often thought it was too early to spell like alcohol.  But surprised to pass another walker, but each to their own I probably smell like an ashtray. Although I never smoked or chewed tobacco on my walk.  I just want to walk with my mom.  Often times I don’t think I could spit out everything I wanted to say so much so that I just said in these moments you don’t have to chew tobacco and say anything. Dixie and both us individually by the fallen tree arch. A path going to the river, under which most the trees 🌳 there are...

Walk and a run in to the vet

Another adventure for Dixie,  she is an expensive dog….🐕 We enjoy 😊 our walks. Up top of the coulee you can see the university  Sonny and I go walking the south side dog park,  it tricky terrain for sure.  It’s nice 😊 for the scenery I think, yet a bit treacherous at times.  A person has to be careful let alone a dog 🐕 being careful. Here is Sonny and I smiling giving a thumbs up to the camera 📸  The walk was decent though some difficult 😞 parts for today, Dixie is on a 14 day hiatus from walking.  She’ll probably want to go sooner rather than later. I think we’re stuck to just five minute poop 💩 walks than the hour or two hour walks we usually do. I’m unsure when it happen but my guess is near the end of the walk when I noticed it. Dixie gets to close to the bushes today, I kept looking her over but noticed a different spot on her at the end of our walk.   Dixie goes through some bushes and gouged a piece out of her. Now Dixie has th...
