Sonny and River south side park

September evenings are beautiful 🀩

Sonny and I get walking the south side dog park, the wind blew this smoky evening. I was saying earlier with the Particulate from the fires is going to pick up moisture and we’re gonna get rain soon.

And sure enough tomorrow or Wednesday will get rain or both.

I got my heart ❤️ rate up to 133 not to high a good zone to be in for sure. The stairs we did a few times.

Took an hour to do. And did 2.17 km total ascent was 122 m.

Which is a decent 41 floors I did today. With working, both Sonny and I worked today.

And managed to do a hour walk.

Dixie is ranked 20 on the leaderboard for September a good start for the day. They dog sure got her active minutes and she is sleep πŸ’€ and activity is good. 😊

Sonny smiling in our walk, he is a pleasure to walk with, hopefullly we get a few more nice days here to do some more walks.

We both give the camera a thumbs up, Sonny invited me to play street hockey. πŸ₯…

Both our dogs get along quite good 😊. Well when they are busy walking. This last month I’ve thought of getting another dog. But two dogs when not walking just fight in my opinion even if it’s just play fighting.

Rough housing.

A photo as we walk down the stairs, an awesome 😎 evening. These next weeks are going to be very beautiful out.  Leaves πŸ‚ are going to be changing and the weather is finally getting manageable at mid day.

That’ll make the dog πŸ• happy πŸ˜ƒ more afternoon walks.
Sonny and I are planning to get another couple walks in this week.
Which will bump Dixie up the leaderboard if we keep up the adventure of September from Kim and my trailer  trip.

Dixie is settle down at home 🏑, never got

My lawn mowed but I did cook pork back ribs for supper and that was instant pot meal then BBQ πŸ– after . I make a good rub for it and Kim and I both enjoyed our meal. 🍽️

I’ll have to do dishes . I think it is a job tomorrow,  while I vacuum and mopped the floor. It’s been a few weeks since I last did it.

It sounds like you had a lovely and eventful day! Walking at the dog park with Sonny, enjoying the beautiful September evening, and getting some good exercise in sounds like a perfect way to spend the time. It's great to hear that Dixie is doing well and that you’re both staying active!

It seems like you've got a good routine going, with plans for more walks and adventures ahead. Cooking those ribs must have been delicious too! Balancing outdoor activities, work, and home responsibilities is never easy, but it sounds like you're managing it all wonderfully.

It's also exciting to think about getting another dog, even if it comes with some challenges! Just remember, it's all part of the fun. If you need tips on dog dynamics or anything else, feel free to ask. Enjoy the upcoming beautiful days! 😊🏞️🐾

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour πŸƒ‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  πŸƒ‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run πŸƒ‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Celebrating Ten Years and Living My Best Life🧘‍♂️ A Quiet Day at Home

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 10 Years Together Last night was a beautiful celebration of a decade spent with Kim. We marked our 10-year anniversary with a cozy dinner at The Keg, where I indulged in a hearty 20 oz steak and Kim opted for a more modest 8 oz cut. It felt so good to get out together and enjoy a special evening. We kept things simple—just water to drink, with fresh bread and salad to start. The atmosphere was perfect, and I soaked in every moment of our time together. We’re incredibly grateful for our families, who made the night even more special. My parents generously gave us cash to enjoy our dinner, and Kim’s parents gifted us movie money so we could extend the celebration. Their thoughtfulness reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by love and support. Family and friends made it sweeter We were so blessed by our families: my parents gave us cash to enjoy the night and Kim’s parents sent money for a movie treat. Our friends even gifted us a 20% tip card for the meal...

Gratitude, Good Food, and Good Books

A Thanksgiving weekend of family meals, long walks, and reaching 86 books this year Bryan and I headed out for a walk after he returned from his sister’s Thanksgiving gathering, settling into a steady 30‑minute pace that carried us just under 2 km. The air was crisp with a light breeze, the kind of weather that makes movement feel effortless. I’ve always loved these cooler temperatures—my body doesn’t have to work as hard, and the transition from “easy mode” into a gentle warm‑up felt natural. Carrying 30 pounds with me added that extra layer of challenge, but it blended seamlessly into the rhythm of the walk. We paused at a park bench along the way, taking a moment to sit together before snapping a photo. That small break reminded me how these walks are as much about connection as they are about distance or weight carried. The combination of fresh air, conversation, and the grounding presence of the season made the outing feel restorative. It wasn’t just a walk—it was a reminder...
