GMC Yukon

I’ve been driving a GMC Yukon for work this last two days and have made a delivery 🚚 of 1,400 apples 🍎.

I’ve been working out of this fancy vehicle πŸš—, cause our van broke down for delivery 🚚.

This is super nice, at first I thought the changing gears was a bit gross 🀒 but I’ve started liking it a lot more my second day in.

My dad says old Chevy impalas use to have a gear switch like it.

So far at work the distribution for the bigger trucks is disrupted so the logistics of it is.

We are short lots of things in the grocery store cause the semi trucks πŸš› are delays in deliveries 🚚.

So I’ve been saying this driving a different vehicle so the ambivalence of it is.

Well I’m having vehicle πŸš— problems

And the grocery store is having delivery 🚚 problems.

Work is having a bad week.

I’m having an awesome week driving a rental.

So I’m really enjoying work, even if I have to make a many more returns to the store 🏬 to make my delivery still cold and fresh or smaller truck loads anyways fits in the Yukon than a cargo van.

But the tires πŸ›ž on the Yukon are bigger than the van it seems cause you got the large vehicle with tiny tires πŸ›ž and a Yukon that’s smaller with huge tires πŸ›ž.

It makes driving more fun I think.

I’ve been going slow driving it and it’s been a pleasure to drive.

It sounds like you're having quite the experience with the GMC Yukon! It's great to hear that you're finding enjoyment in driving it, especially considering the challenges at work with the delivery disruptions.

It's interesting how different vehicles can provide a unique driving experience. The Yukon's size and tire difference must be giving you a new perspective on the road.

I’m usually driving this cargo van 🚐 and that’s been fun.  I’ll look forward when it’s back to do my job easier. Although the Yukon is a lot of fun 🀩.

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour πŸƒ‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  πŸƒ‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run πŸƒ‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Celebrating Ten Years and Living My Best Life🧘‍♂️ A Quiet Day at Home

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 10 Years Together Last night was a beautiful celebration of a decade spent with Kim. We marked our 10-year anniversary with a cozy dinner at The Keg, where I indulged in a hearty 20 oz steak and Kim opted for a more modest 8 oz cut. It felt so good to get out together and enjoy a special evening. We kept things simple—just water to drink, with fresh bread and salad to start. The atmosphere was perfect, and I soaked in every moment of our time together. We’re incredibly grateful for our families, who made the night even more special. My parents generously gave us cash to enjoy our dinner, and Kim’s parents gifted us movie money so we could extend the celebration. Their thoughtfulness reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by love and support. Family and friends made it sweeter We were so blessed by our families: my parents gave us cash to enjoy the night and Kim’s parents sent money for a movie treat. Our friends even gifted us a 20% tip card for the meal...

Gratitude, Good Food, and Good Books

A Thanksgiving weekend of family meals, long walks, and reaching 86 books this year Bryan and I headed out for a walk after he returned from his sister’s Thanksgiving gathering, settling into a steady 30‑minute pace that carried us just under 2 km. The air was crisp with a light breeze, the kind of weather that makes movement feel effortless. I’ve always loved these cooler temperatures—my body doesn’t have to work as hard, and the transition from “easy mode” into a gentle warm‑up felt natural. Carrying 30 pounds with me added that extra layer of challenge, but it blended seamlessly into the rhythm of the walk. We paused at a park bench along the way, taking a moment to sit together before snapping a photo. That small break reminded me how these walks are as much about connection as they are about distance or weight carried. The combination of fresh air, conversation, and the grounding presence of the season made the outing feel restorative. It wasn’t just a walk—it was a reminder...
