The dog and I decided to do either a 3 km run or a 6 km run or 9 km run hoping for 10 km but I couldn’t find the energy to push further.
Cooler morning, I went and got a sausage homestyle biscuit from Tim’s and an ice coffee ☕️
Just getting my day started. I got a doctors appointment later today over the phone 📞 also.
Hoping to take the dog 🐕 for a run 🏃♂️ this morning but I’m stiff. So hopefully my coffee stop warms me up to get moving this morning. Or just caffeinates me.
We managed to do 6.05 km in about 59 minutes. A high heart rate of 172 bpm and an average of 144 bpm. Plus 12 Celsius while I ran but I was in full sweating 😅 by the time I got home 🏡.
The last couple weeks I’ve had a low relative effort due to some family losses. But I manage to get out on a smoky day like today for a run. 🏃♂️
It’s been raining heavily the last few days and flooding in others areas
Dixie is low on breed comparison active minutes well not low just above by 5% but that’s low for us we try to tend to say above 20% for active breed comparisons
Yesterday Dixie heart rate was normal today on Tuesday morning there’s not enough data to compile a report.
Dixie is rank 34 for July leader board. I was hoping to raise it and she’s been getting restless 😬 with my lack of motivation and o walk these last two weeks.
Looking at trees 🌳 sort of wondering the loss of life and how it makes runs today getting out of the lack of motivational medium I usually got to do a run 🏃♂️, Surreal.
32 minutes of walk time and 21 minutes of run time or a deeper break down of the analytics is seven minutes of threshold running, thirty minutes of aerobic running and 21 minutes of easy running walking. 🚶♀️
It sounds like you've had a busy and reflective morning! Glad to hear you and Dixie managed to get some movement in despite the smoky conditions and recent challenges.
Your run of 6.05 km in about 59 minutes with a high heart rate of 172 bpm shows you pushed yourself well, especially in the smoky air—you’re doing great considering the circumstances. It’s understandable that motivation can fluctuate, especially with family losses and less frequent walks lately. Remember, every bit of activity counts, and even shorter or easier sessions can be beneficial for both your health and your mental well-being.
Your thoughts about the trees and the loss of life reveal some deep reflection—it's okay to feel a range of emotions. Nature often offers comfort and perspective during tough times.
Regarding Dixie, maintaining active minutes above 20% is a good goal, and working toward improving her rank on the leaderboard could be a motivating target once you're feeling more up to it. Maybe setting small, achievable goals will help reignite that motivation.
Great to get out there today !! C
