Last day of September

Dixie looking over the Dock to see the geese 🪿 and ducks 🦆  I get walking with Dixie doing five KM.  Even ran for .33% of a km for about 2-3 minutes  A decent amount of walking before work, I had to take a Motrin from doing weights yesterday. Woke up with back pains, so I had to walk that out before work. Dixie looking out over the pond just underneath the shadows of the houses and trees looking at the birds.  Looks like most leaves are still very green right around here. There are some patches of yellow coming in though… Birds are getting ready to fly south.  Last night we had hail and rain.  🌧️ for maybe 20 minutes. The rain  hit longer. It’s a beautiful area and the trees 🌳 animal 🦔 life is out. A cat 🐈‍⬛ crossed our path just at the end of our walk. Dixie had a meltdown in those quick moments. Dixie’s active minutes are good in her sleep is good. She’s an about middle average right now which is good for active minutes cause when she wa...

Mark does the first walk

I get walking with mark after the first time Dixie gets her stitches out. Her first long walk. Mark and I go walking. This photo is 😊 good, mark takes a photo since I left my phone in the vehicle. 🚗 and the trees are still very green yeah some are changing but it was awesome Mark let me use his phone to take this photo with us and the trees 🌳. End of September still very green. We do five km exactly I was tracking it to do it exactly. Ended right at the vehicles. A good 😊 time cause I think we were both feeling a bit negative walking in the heat. He said he had 90 minutes I did it in 60 minutes.  So hopefully he wasn’t late picking up his kids. Walking for five KM is good 😊, no running, but thinking about running in November: we did see one runner with his dog and a lady looking for her gray dog 🐩.  Dixie is tuckered out, have to say Mark And I  get in a conversationalist day sort of missed these last 14 day to walk. Haven’t walk for 14 days and Dixie is belo...

Enduro 3 and 40th birthday goal

I’d like to put in five minutes of running in my five or ten km walks.   And work myself up to ten minutes of running Then work myself up to fifteen minutes and a 1/2 hour after In my five km than means if I’m doing 6-7 minutes I’ll be able to do my whole five km in 30-35 minutes cutting my walks in half with Dixie I think I’ll get started on my birthday 🥳  It’s got adjustment pace for different terrain and route adjustments that will make sure I do the amount of kilometres I want even if I deviate from my route it’ll re adjust to calculate 10km or five km depending if I change my mind mid walk run It’s my 40 year birthday 🥳 goal  To be running five km in a 1/2 hour Well for my 40 year old year by the end of it going to be 41 I hoping I’ll be there I’d just like to get a garmin enduro 3 watch and try to run again with dog 🐕 I’ve been walking for years and slowed my smoking hugely for years I’d like to really gift that to myself this year Just my walking activiti...

Walk and a run in to the vet

Another adventure for Dixie,  she is an expensive dog….🐕 We enjoy 😊 our walks. Up top of the coulee you can see the university  Sonny and I go walking the south side dog park,  it tricky terrain for sure.  It’s nice 😊 for the scenery I think, yet a bit treacherous at times.  A person has to be careful let alone a dog 🐕 being careful. Here is Sonny and I smiling giving a thumbs up to the camera 📸  The walk was decent though some difficult 😞 parts for today, Dixie is on a 14 day hiatus from walking.  She’ll probably want to go sooner rather than later. I think we’re stuck to just five minute poop 💩 walks than the hour or two hour walks we usually do. I’m unsure when it happen but my guess is near the end of the walk when I noticed it. Dixie gets to close to the bushes today, I kept looking her over but noticed a different spot on her at the end of our walk.   Dixie goes through some bushes and gouged a piece out of her. Now Dixie has th...

Sonny and River south side park

September evenings are beautiful 🤩  Sonny and I get walking the south side dog park, the wind blew this smoky evening. I was saying earlier with the Particulate from the fires is going to pick up moisture and we’re gonna get rain soon. And sure enough tomorrow or Wednesday will get rain or both. I got my heart ❤️ rate up to 133 not to high a good zone to be in for sure. The stairs we did a few times. Took an hour to do. And did 2.17 km total ascent was 122 m. Which is a decent 41 floors I did today. With working, both Sonny and I worked today. And managed to do a hour walk. Dixie is ranked 20 on the leaderboard for September a good start for the day. They dog sure got her active minutes and she is sleep 💤 and activity is good. 😊  Sonny smiling in our walk, he is a pleasure to walk with, hopefullly we get a few more nice days here to do some more walks. We both give the camera a thumbs up, Sonny invited me to play street hockey. 🥅  Both our dogs get along quite good 😊...
