Three of us go for a walk

Dixie was excited to go for a walk this morning, she went with us for two coffee ☕️ and one cup of hot chocolate 🍫. Only cost about $6.00

And a group of us guys walked by Dixie the dog 🐶 



We started tracking our walk a bit later than our start.

So I’m guessing we walked 2.5 km or even closer to 3km.

Wind was a bit nippy but we enjoyed it.  Later in the day the sun started shining and it got nicer out.

I 😊 enjoyed getting out of the house my morning was busy. 

8:30 to 10 I had visitors over and from 10:30 to noon I was at a social coffee outing.  I got two cups of coffee in me, so this morning I’ve been very chatty.

A bit of coffee gets conversational time most the time with me.

I just started drinking again in December.

A cup here to a cup there so I’ve been drinking it every other morning.

Sun ☀️ in this spot but the wind 💨 still blowing a cold February wind.  Which it’s good we walked cause we are getting 15-25 cm of snow start of next week.

Here to hoping that misses us.



The other day I saw 👀 13 geese so that means spring is coming. We never saw any birds 🦅 birds this morning.  But yesterday I did.

Back in Stride: A Run Worth Celebrating

 After seven weeks of setbacks and recovery, I laced up with Dixie and reclaimed my rhythm—3.64 km of steady effort, heart in the aerobic zone, and a reminder that progress starts with showing up. This afternoon, Dixie and I laced up and headed out for a run while the daylight was still holding on. It felt so good to be back out there after a bit of a break, moving at our own pace and enjoying the fresh air together. There’s something about running with Dixie that makes the effort lighter—her energy and joy keep me motivated, even when I’m easing back into the rhythm. At first, I thought about pushing myself to five kilometers, but I remembered the back pain I’ve been dealing with and decided to listen to the advice of my AI fitness coach: don’t overdo it on the first run back. Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour 🏃‍♂️

  Dixie and I go for a run  🏃‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run 🏃‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin.
