February night walk

 Dog walking night


I get walking the dog at night, while talking on the phone with a good friend.

Tonight dinner we ate over at Bryan’s house, and had a delicious meal 🥘.

A comfort meal for Kim; ham, rice and corn.

Kim’s go to meal to feel good.

We are socialized a bit after ward and then I came home to walk the dog.


I dropped into shoppers drug mart to get nail clippers for my fingers.

I lost my other pair.  So I pick led one up.

On our walk, Dixie and I see…


A herd of deer, they were on our side but went to the other when we started walking 🚶‍♀️ only to crossed again to be on there side.

We as curious as them to us and us to them.

Dixie smelling all the spots the deer 🦌 could be smelled never looking 👀 in there direction.

We walked by, but get in a house and a window, Dixie is all barking up a storm ⛈️.

I guess Monday and Tuesday we are getting a storm. I’m hoping it’s easier than it is.

I’m sort of done with winter 🥶, I think we all are unless you’ve been enjoying it at the snow hill mountain range.

Then it’s an adventure.

Now I’m at home chewing tobacco.

A good end of the night.

I working today so I got up at 4 am so a bit tired 😴 and enjoyed meal out where we never had to cook or much clean dishes. Made a wonderful evening.

 After seven weeks of setbacks and recovery, I laced up with Dixie and reclaimed my rhythm—3.64 km of steady effort, heart in the aerobic zone, and a reminder that progress starts with showing up. This afternoon, Dixie and I laced up and headed out for a run while the daylight was still holding on. It felt so good to be back out there after a bit of a break, moving at our own pace and enjoying the fresh air together. There’s something about running with Dixie that makes the effort lighter—her energy and joy keep me motivated, even when I’m easing back into the rhythm. At first, I thought about pushing myself to five kilometers, but I remembered the back pain I’ve been dealing with and decided to listen to the advice of my AI fitness coach: don’t overdo it on the first run back. Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour 🏃‍♂️

  Dixie and I go for a run  🏃‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run 🏃‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin.
