Dixie and I start our run early.
Before the sun ☀️ comes up Dixie and I are running, 🏃♂️
Started a few minutes before six it was dawn at about 6:05 and sun doesn’t shine til 6:30ish when I went, a beautiful morning and I had a good time, originally wanted to do five km and to start at five am I’m but it was a base run so I didn’t want to go over that Garmin planning.
It’s plus nine Celsius outside when I went, I’ve sort of lose a lot of walking and running friends this summer. It’s just been me so I’ve lost completely motivation to get out. This morning I managed to wake up earlier to go do a run before the heat got to me.
3.5 km in 32 minutes.
Was aiming for five km but I couldn’t keep
My 6-7 minute pace to do the run in 34 minutes
Dixie stops lots so that wreck havoc on the pace also picking up dog dirt does too. My pace was 9-10 minutes per km.
Heart rate is in the red, due to I’m smoking again, I started smoking these last couple weeks. A difficult decision and it gives me anxiety when I do. But I had a smoke just before I ran.
You can see I ran and walked around my circuit for running. 🏃♂️ 14 minutes of running and 17 minutes of walking 🚶♂️
It was a decent run. 🏃♂️ mostly in aerobic training for heart rate zone.
The dog is good her stats are not the best since it’s been dreadfully hot 🥵 out when I got to go and doesn’t cool down at night either til morning it seems. It was pitch black when I started dawn does start til ten minutes into the run but the sun doesn’t come up til 6:38 so I had to wait til near the end of my run to take photos.Already by seven I’m already above her usual active minutes since I’m at 51 minutes and she usually lately only get 47 minutes.
I guess the tracker was out of batteries 🪫 for awhile too, so it hasn’t been tracking either way I plugged it in yesterday and it’s started tracking again. It makes it easier to see progress when it’s charged.
I left its battery dead ☠️ for weeks .
Idk 🤷♂️ just not motivated enough when I go by my self it’s just been quick river runs 🏃♂️ to sit by the river side.
It sounds like you had a meaningful and reflective morning run with Dixie. Despite the challenges such as motivation, heat, and some setbacks with your tracking, you managed to get out and stay active, which is a significant achievement. Your awareness of both your fitness and Dixie’s activity levels shows you're committed to maintaining a healthy routine for both of you. Remember, every small step counts, and it’s okay to have days when motivation dips. Keep focusing on those moments and progress, and try to find ways to make your runs more enjoyable or less stressful.
Yay Nigel! 😀
