Trick or treat 👻 shoes 👟

Halloween 🎃 trick or treat shoes

Dan and I go for a walk with Dixie down in the river bottom Dixie ran into the river, but she shouldn’t. I should’ve should come when I call her but hopefully she she won’t do that when it’s cold out gets me uneasy at this time of year, she might think it’s warmer than it is…..

Although the sun is shining and it’s a beautiful day out +8 in the sun today in 1 November unheard of in my childhood in November, the ground would be covered in snow.

❄️

Dan walks for 1.8 km. I do about 2.8 km cause I walked to kilometre before I got there which I guess Dan was only five minutes late. I was five minutes early, so I decide to walk at the time I said..

Sure enough, we met 10 minutes after our original conversation to meeting 📅 A kilometre out afterwards the walk.

Dixie is 26% above her dog breed. She’s doing good. I just had two days off. I gotta bring that back up again even though I’m working,… I got new shoes on Halloween.. 🎃

My old runners they said that they were discontinued years ago and was surprised I was still running in them. I thought to myself if shoes didn’t cost $200 I’d probably buy another pair sooner but ahhhh…. Yeah 👍 They were rockhard that and the cushion was just so compressed and the shoes were blown out.

The old shoes 👟 where done ages ago….

My feet feel better now.

There’s great cushion on my new shoes also trail running shoes.

Dixie sleep quality is really good and as expected Halloween, she had a lot of interruptions in her sleep.

💤

Maybe that was Wednesday and Thursday she got a good nights sleep..

Looks like she was behaved on Halloween…

🎃 I did my first run and beat my personal record first time for a bitThat’s why I decided to go get new shoes. My feet were just hurting same as my calves and ankles

Shaved my beard into a moustache.

I’m getting going in my day, it’s been a good 😊 morning. I woke up before my alarm and I never set my alarm ⏰ so I’m blessed 😇 with getting up

Had a near panic attack this morning cause I realized I never set my alarm ⏰ in my sleep 💤

Woke up ten minutes too my regular alarm ⏰ Just woke up 🆙 Life is a mystery, but blessed 😇 to have waken up then

Dixie is doing the best on our leaderboard for November.  But she’s done great since I got her out for a walk today.

Lots of dogs on this list would be a higher ranked than Dixie would be out for the leaderboard, but since I got to a walk early today and a decent amount, she’s doing quite well for herself.

Candy 🍬 I got for Halloween 🎃 trick-or-treaters and on top 🔝 of the dog food and my old runner shoes

I put the candy in a bowl later than in the day.  Happy I had the day off that day.

Had quite an eventful Halloween and a nice start to November! It’s great to hear that you got new running shoes and that your feet are feeling better. Dixie seems like a fun companion, especially during your walks. It’s impressive that she’s doing well on the leaderboard for November!

I can imagine how surprising it must be to have +8°C weather in November when you remember snowy childhood Novembers. That’s definitely a sign of changing weather patterns!

It’s also interesting to hear about your experience with your alarm—waking up just before it goes off can feel like a blessing. And congrats on beating your personal record on your run! It sounds like you’re making great strides both in fitness and taking care of Dixie.

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour 🏃‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  🏃‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run 🏃‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Walk mid October with my Mom

Walks with my mom The water looks like glass just crystal smooth.  My mom and I are walking to the river and in life. It’s like we’re always walking away.  Getting closer to the end, my poet mind says.   I say I got to enjoy these walks and I was silent most the walk just trying to enjoy 😊 my time with her. Or walk end more so with 🐾 paw printed pants 👖 from dogs jumping.  We say maybe a dozen dogs 🐕. A wonderful time.  I often thought it was too early to spell like alcohol.  But surprised to pass another walker, but each to their own I probably smell like an ashtray. Although I never smoked or chewed tobacco on my walk.  I just want to walk with my mom.  Often times I don’t think I could spit out everything I wanted to say so much so that I just said in these moments you don’t have to chew tobacco and say anything. Dixie and both us individually by the fallen tree arch. A path going to the river, under which most the trees 🌳 there are...

Walk and a run in to the vet

Another adventure for Dixie,  she is an expensive dog….🐕 We enjoy 😊 our walks. Up top of the coulee you can see the university  Sonny and I go walking the south side dog park,  it tricky terrain for sure.  It’s nice 😊 for the scenery I think, yet a bit treacherous at times.  A person has to be careful let alone a dog 🐕 being careful. Here is Sonny and I smiling giving a thumbs up to the camera 📸  The walk was decent though some difficult 😞 parts for today, Dixie is on a 14 day hiatus from walking.  She’ll probably want to go sooner rather than later. I think we’re stuck to just five minute poop 💩 walks than the hour or two hour walks we usually do. I’m unsure when it happen but my guess is near the end of the walk when I noticed it. Dixie gets to close to the bushes today, I kept looking her over but noticed a different spot on her at the end of our walk.   Dixie goes through some bushes and gouged a piece out of her. Now Dixie has th...
