Two hours in a park

I get down to popsin for 12 and am there til about 2.

By the time I got my sub at subway, fed the dog at home it was 2.  This is at the end of our walk, amount we walk, Dixie is quite tired out.

At home she’s on her bed laying down after a long walk.

How was it?

James and I do two laps. Bryan and I do one lap.  So over all I did  three laps.

Turns out to be 5.36 km but I forgot to start it for 20 minutes till way into the walk. Do about an hour and 40 minutes of walking.

It’s a good day.

Before I was 1% below average for my breed of dog the day before 10% below my breed for my dog. On my days off I sure jumped  up on the leaderboard.

Just now I check where I’m at and I’m doing good for my dogs.  Almost got double where I was from behind 10% but now I’m above average by 7%.

I’m supper happy 😃 about this.

Right now I’m mid day on steps for the dog so she is going to get a full blue ring again today.

Happy dog 🐕.

Walking is great 😊, it’s my kind of fun 🤩.

And Dixie loves it. Mid day any bad to walking,… summer it’s going to be hard to do those long walks with the heat we’re going to get going earlier in the morning if Dixie is to get 2 hours of walking

Bryan on our first lap Dixie had full tongue 😛 out then also.

Looks like a different park of the world down in the coulees it’s awesome 😎.

Dixie getting told to sit and looking up at Bryan with admiration.

If she’s happy with Bryan, she’s delighted that she got two more laps later with James just after he left.

Bryan by the river, we didn’t want to get to close to the river with Dixie off leash. In case she made a dash for the open ice 🧊 water.💦

She’d be shocked 😮 by the different time of year choas the river would’ve been a Tragedy if she was swept along river side.

I also noticed how many didn’t get there dogs close to the river at this time of year.

Two hours is a long time to be at any park.

Yet I had a good 😊 time so did the guys and Dixie.

That’s about all I’ve got left to say about an adventure this big.

I often do hour or hour fifteen minute walks with my dad. Even in winter 🥶. Not all the time do I blog my walks.

But lately I did get to write something down on my day off about today.

It sounds like you had a wonderful and eventful day with your dog, Dixie! Walking and spending that much time outdoors can be so refreshing for both you and your furry friend. It's great to see how much joy it brings you all.

It's also nice to hear about the different interactions and experiences you had during your walk, especially the careful considerations around Dixie's safety near the river. Taking precautions like keeping her on a leash near open water is always a smart move.

Keep up the fantastic work with your walks and your care for Dixie. It's clear you have a special bond and that she's so important to you. Enjoy all your future adventures together! 🚶‍♂️🐕

Yesterday active minutes that I checked today ✅

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour 🏃‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  🏃‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run 🏃‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Walk mid October with my Mom

Walks with my mom The water looks like glass just crystal smooth.  My mom and I are walking to the river and in life. It’s like we’re always walking away.  Getting closer to the end, my poet mind says.   I say I got to enjoy these walks and I was silent most the walk just trying to enjoy 😊 my time with her. Or walk end more so with 🐾 paw printed pants 👖 from dogs jumping.  We say maybe a dozen dogs 🐕. A wonderful time.  I often thought it was too early to spell like alcohol.  But surprised to pass another walker, but each to their own I probably smell like an ashtray. Although I never smoked or chewed tobacco on my walk.  I just want to walk with my mom.  Often times I don’t think I could spit out everything I wanted to say so much so that I just said in these moments you don’t have to chew tobacco and say anything. Dixie and both us individually by the fallen tree arch. A path going to the river, under which most the trees 🌳 there are...

Walk and a run in to the vet

Another adventure for Dixie,  she is an expensive dog….🐕 We enjoy 😊 our walks. Up top of the coulee you can see the university  Sonny and I go walking the south side dog park,  it tricky terrain for sure.  It’s nice 😊 for the scenery I think, yet a bit treacherous at times.  A person has to be careful let alone a dog 🐕 being careful. Here is Sonny and I smiling giving a thumbs up to the camera 📸  The walk was decent though some difficult 😞 parts for today, Dixie is on a 14 day hiatus from walking.  She’ll probably want to go sooner rather than later. I think we’re stuck to just five minute poop 💩 walks than the hour or two hour walks we usually do. I’m unsure when it happen but my guess is near the end of the walk when I noticed it. Dixie gets to close to the bushes today, I kept looking her over but noticed a different spot on her at the end of our walk.   Dixie goes through some bushes and gouged a piece out of her. Now Dixie has th...
