Very last day of January

I noticed I’ve walk many times near the end of January and blogged it.

I get out to walk and pick up some honey dipped donuts that I shared with Dixie and a real fruit quencher peach. πŸ‘

A beautiful walk. I enjoyed it. I was with my thoughts today and I appreciate many little things.

Dixie and I met dog named Elvis and he looked like Dixie and him we’re going to have a play date.

We met them. Both dogs were tail wagging and happy to see each other.

We walk around the pond and by university and take pictures. Ask a few dogs if we May see each other.

Some said yes, Some said no, and others just kept on walking or ignored us. That’s part of only a dog you have to ask for consent if you were gonna greet another dog.

Depending on how person is walking or what’s going on in their life, they may say no or they may say yes it’s just the part of walking and seeing other people have problems just as I have problems and we’re just all enjoying the outside and the beautiful morning we were having.

Dixie looking over the pond. It looks like somebody pulled out two giant rocks out of the ground and I’m guessing that they were thrown on the ice but I couldn’t see anything on the ice that must’ve fell through. I don’t know why else I would take two enormous rocks out of the Rock footing.

Dixie and I did a good 50 minute walk and we enjoyed our time.

A good old fashioned walk around, I enjoyed that t and so it she.

I was thinking of a longer walk but I decided to just cut it shorter and I was gonna do a two hour walk but I thought just half it today we’re going to be getting our dog tracker fitness tracker right away and so I’m excited to use that hopefully Kim and I will get the dog walked more.

I think it’s reasonable…. I’d like to get ten of these to keep the dog in the back yard in a select area I all ready have the fencing. I got the fencing to half the bill each year to this year. I think it’s 50 foot by five feet πŸ‘£ but it may be 25 foot by five feet.  So it really depends where it’ll go.

It will just make it so the dog will be in the back yard and people could pick the dog up for a walk while I’m at work.  Usually I go for two 50 minute walks on my days off but Dixie needs about 144 active minutes be it play with a stuffy or dog walking a day to feel less anxious 😬

Finn was easier cause he had a bad leg, and would get tired easier.

Who you say? Some friends maybe at the society or even a dad would like to go out with the dog on your walks. But I doubt it. Even if we hired a dog walker like the nieces, or nephew if they wanted some cash πŸ’° for a job to pay for something they wanted or a paid dog walker another tenet did it that way coming by and pick the dog up.

On either side of the family, idk how much time they have so it might be hired out to a paid walker. It’s usually on the weekends I work so a dog walker on weekends would be great πŸ‘ or even keeping the dog poop to one side of the yard for easier clean up.

I love my days off with the dog but the dog needs help through the weekend to go for a walk while I work.and I’m getting my dog fix I’m sure other people would like there dog fix also.  Pet therapy does wonders for kids to adults to grandparents.

Dixie is the wonder dog πŸ•

Celebrating Ten Years and Living My Best Life🧘‍♂️ A Quiet Day at Home

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 10 Years Together Last night was a beautiful celebration of a decade spent with Kim. We marked our 10-year anniversary with a cozy dinner at The Keg, where I indulged in a hearty 20 oz steak and Kim opted for a more modest 8 oz cut. It felt so good to get out together and enjoy a special evening. We kept things simple—just water to drink, with fresh bread and salad to start. The atmosphere was perfect, and I soaked in every moment of our time together. We’re incredibly grateful for our families, who made the night even more special. My parents generously gave us cash to enjoy our dinner, and Kim’s parents gifted us movie money so we could extend the celebration. Their thoughtfulness reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by love and support. Family and friends made it sweeter We were so blessed by our families: my parents gave us cash to enjoy the night and Kim’s parents sent money for a movie treat. Our friends even gifted us a 20% tip card for the meal...

Gratitude, Good Food, and Good Books

A Thanksgiving weekend of family meals, long walks, and reaching 86 books this year Bryan and I headed out for a walk after he returned from his sister’s Thanksgiving gathering, settling into a steady 30‑minute pace that carried us just under 2 km. The air was crisp with a light breeze, the kind of weather that makes movement feel effortless. I’ve always loved these cooler temperatures—my body doesn’t have to work as hard, and the transition from “easy mode” into a gentle warm‑up felt natural. Carrying 30 pounds with me added that extra layer of challenge, but it blended seamlessly into the rhythm of the walk. We paused at a park bench along the way, taking a moment to sit together before snapping a photo. That small break reminded me how these walks are as much about connection as they are about distance or weight carried. The combination of fresh air, conversation, and the grounding presence of the season made the outing feel restorative. It wasn’t just a walk—it was a reminder...

Plus 12 Celsius Smoke run πŸƒ‍♂️

The dog and I decided to do either a 3 km run or a 6 km run or 9 km run hoping for 10 km but I couldn’t find the energy to push further. It is smoky out there you could smell it and breath it in. Made me in my threshold if I keep a higher pace than 9 minutes km Cooler morning,  I went and got a sausage homestyle biscuit from Tim’s and an ice coffee ☕️  Just getting my day started. I got a doctors appointment later today over the phone πŸ“ž also. Hoping to take the dog πŸ• for a run πŸƒ‍♂️ this morning but I’m stiff. So hopefully my coffee stop warms me up to get moving this morning. Or just caffeinates me. We managed to do 6.05 km in about 59 minutes. A high heart rate of 172 bpm and an average of 144 bpm. Plus 12 Celsius while I ran but I was in full sweating πŸ˜… by the time I got home 🏑. The last couple weeks I’ve had a low relative effort due to some family losses. But I manage to get out on a smoky day like today for a run. πŸƒ‍♂️  It’s been raining heavily the last...
