Kim and Dixie walk plus 15 Celsius

Image
Dixie goes for a half an hour walk with Kim Kim gets moving around this evening with Dixie. She got her heart rate up to a max of 155 bpm That’s impressive her average was 134 bpm. The walk was mostly consistently a walk although she did tell me she ran for a few minutes to. I would say if she ran at all I would consider it a run instead of a walk. She was in the threshold for a few minutes and aerobic for 27 minutes and easy for 13 minutes A decent heart rate for the exercise. The walk looked like it was fun for both Kim and Dixie .  Dixie met a few people on her walk and as such loved it 😍 even the more. I had to pass on the walk cause I was busy. Says the walk as 47 minutes but Kim didn’t turn her watch off. Yet her heart rate was still high and burning lots of Calories for most the walk. She wasn’t in warm up bpm but a decent aerobic and threshold walk run.🏃‍♂️  It sounds like Kim had a great workout and enjoyed her time walking with Dixie! It's impres...

Easter Monday đŸŖ

Image
A walk in the rain 🌧️  Dixie and I got wet, don’t worry we rubbed her down when we got home with a towel and she loved it. 😍  Dixie was ranked 25 on the leaderboard for April but now is at 27 We had a great 😊 time seeing geese by the water sheds. Dixie thought the rain was great, she was asking to go once it started.   1.88 km in 24 minutes average pace per km was 13:12  The dog did good on our walk, I thought it would be good for a photo to say the least. Some may say “why rain” but I think it’s great it’s raining usually a little too little of rain and to many sunny ☀️ days. An adventure for sure to get out in this storm ☔️. It sounds like you had a wonderful time on your walk with Dixie, despite the rain! Dogs often love the rain, and it’s great that she enjoyed her time outdoors. It’s also nice to hear that you were able to capture some memories, even if the weather wasn't perfect. Your average pace is impressive too! A little rain can be re...

Easter dinner on Sunday đŸŖ

Image
We get having an Easter dinner at my in-laws house.  đŸĄ on this raining ☔️ day on Sunday April. 20, 2025 It’s been raining most the day so far, a gentle rain. 🌧️  Toronto vs Ottawa is playing tonight. We ate turkey,đŸĻƒ ham, mashed potato đŸĨ” stuffing, carrots đŸĨ• peas đŸĢ›  Lots of food tonight.  I had to decline desert, I ate that much two plates from dinner. đŸŊ️   I was told by my doctor I have the start of fatty liver disease from the food I’m eating.  As such less sweets and carbs.  Although I went right into the carbs this Easter.  Should have stuck more with protein there was lots of meat. 🍖  I am 27 days quit tonight from smoking đŸšŦ  So over all 57days quit out of 110 days in the year so far.  Still over half way quit for more than the years days🙂 With my quiting in January for 30 days. We take a quick family photo wearing our Oilers jerseys. 🙂 It sounds like you have a full day ahead with a wonderful f...

Walk and supper with our neighbours

Image
Dixie is being very needy tonight Dixie has to eat her kibble out of our hands tonight.  She is being very needy.  Our walk has been good but Dixie has only it 35 active minutes today and most of it was on our walk. She has been snoozing with Kim all day. On the bench with the sun to our backs, just a delight of weather so far for today. I suited in shorts đŸŠŗ and a T-shirt for our walk, got up to 15 Celsius today. With a slight breeze. Suppose to get cold the next few days. We walk near 2 km in 27 minutes. A delight to walk with beautiful Kim. Dixie is ranked 25 for April, and is such a treat to have. Clear blue sky’s here today, the river is low this time of year. I’ll have to walk by where I walk to take a photo  It’s very low. When I drive over the bridge I always look 👀  Today I was driving a Chevy Equinox a rental today And after went for supper with our neighbours, to Opa. With Tammy and Scott. A pleasure to visit over supper with them. With...

Lots of attention for Dixie

Image
I did manage to take two photos on my run 🏃‍♂️  I was a bit warm on my run 🏃‍♂️ with Dixie.  Should have never done it with a vest got to be in the double digits in positives today I think plus 22 Celsius the vehicle said. Kim and I ate at Opa today since we were busy with stuff.  I managed to put all the dishes away in the dishwasher to get the dishwasher on and clean up the sink of dishes. Kim bought my Opa. 😊 she did say she’d walk the dog tonight other than Dixie was begging to go for twenty minutes and I just took her.   she did the other day walking 2.37 km in 34 minutes. I don’t think Kim’s feeling the best tonight.  Hence us eating out instead of cooking cause we’re drained after the day. For body battery đŸĒĢ  One walk at 1.5 km in 21 minutes one run twice as long at 3 km in 30 minutes and two session of weights for a total of hour and ten minutes today Bryan did lift weights with me for the first session, of 38 minutes. I gave hi...

Weights, dog walk, fire đŸ”Ĩ

Image
Bryan go for a walk it got to be plus 14 Celsius but felt lot warm with the sun shining on you. Here we are after the walk and weights just before dog dirt duty. Having a fire đŸ”Ĩ in the back yard, enjoying the smokeless fire pit. It has a combustible fan blowing air so the fire burns hotter and quicker but burns all the particulate up before it leave the fire  đŸ”Ĩ  Bryan May of never helped pick up dog dirt but he did buy me half a sub for subway for the fruit smoothies I’ve been making with protein powder and creatine. Got the fire đŸ”Ĩ going and nice and warm up. Felt good to be out side. I still got a 23 minute base run to do, but lots to get done ✅ around the house. 🏡  36 minutes 21 sets in weights we did good. 😊  1.75 km in 25 minutes is a decent walk. The dog ramped  up its leaderboard score to 29 today and Dixie is 33 above her breed today for active minutes. By one pm she was well over her active minutes due to ball tossing in the back ...
