Riverside for 2 1/2 hours

The dog and I are tired out. We play ball in the river for 2 1/2 hours.  Really enjoying my summer day.  Tossing the ball for a good 60 throws in the river.  That’s about 2 1/2 minutes each toss. Dixie loved 🥰 her river time. I met my nephew and mom down there and we waded in the river together tossing the ball to the dog.  Dixie would only retrieve it if I tossed the ball, she wouldn’t get the ball some time when other people would throw the ball. A delightful time out in the river with some family and dog. 🐕 🐕  It was 31 Celsius outside at the moment writing my blog but we made it out maybe when it was still early enough to not be to hot in the river  Only 38 below average at the today.  Dixie is sleeping beside me she got tired out 159 active minutes by 3 pm.  We did good 😊  She got a full day of activity’s in. And a car ride to help move something for Kim for her office. So I guess I did 😊.

Plus 9 six am run 🏃‍♂️ 3.5 km

Dixie and I start our run early. Before the sun ☀️ comes up Dixie and I are running, 🏃‍♂️  Started a few minutes before six it was dawn at about 6:05 and sun doesn’t shine til 6:30ish when I went, a beautiful morning and I had a good time, originally wanted to do five km and to start at five am I’m but it was a base run so I didn’t want to go over that Garmin planning. It’s plus nine Celsius outside when I went, I’ve sort of lose a lot of walking and running friends this summer. It’s just been me so I’ve lost completely motivation to get out. This morning I managed to wake up earlier to go do a run before the heat got to me. 3.5 km in 32 minutes. Was aiming for five km but I couldn’t keep My 6-7 minute pace to do the run in 34 minutes Dixie stops lots so that wreck havoc on the pace also picking up dog dirt does too. My pace was 9-10 minutes per km. Heart rate is in the red, due to I’m smoking again, I started smoking these last couple weeks.  A difficult decision and ...

River side plus 13 Celsius mid August

Dixie go for a swim plus 13 out of the morning around 10 am Dixie licking her lips 👄 from chasing the ball 🏀  We get down there stay a hour.  I really enjoy 😊 it here  On the way back out of popsin park, we take a photo of Dixie laughing she had so much fun. 🤩  She was semi good 😊 she barks in the vehicle passing any dogs 🐕 and that’s very annoying. The coulee is still very green and lush with life, not its usual dryer look of drought we are at least this time of year it doesn’t look half as bad as other years.  We even got 25 percent of our snow pack. The river looked like a foot lower than it was last week. That can be expected, yet not the disaster it was looking at the beginning of the year looking like with snow pack low and then we got so much rain 🌧️  Dixie brings the ball back every time… Here she is diving for the ball 🏀 I toss for the shoreline. She is a delightful dog still very young dog 🐕 in her mind. Over all I got an ice 🧊 co...

Lift weights 🏋️‍♀️ and a evening run 🏃‍♂️

Got a new PR. I think it’s cause I’m new to the weight thing and have only been measuring one weight not both.  Like if it were a 30lbs but two for each arm I’d count it once  I also I did a good amount of nostril breath cause I got a high  Anaerobic level and a far bit of aerobic level too in the exercise. I feel good there’s still a run 🏃‍♂️ planned after this,  a friend bought me fish and chips. And lifted weights with me.  Made my evening and afternoon way better. I had to eat I was getting negative.  Should have had lunch made it to supper. Such is how life goes. 4,563 kg lifted in 36 minutes 18 minutes of weights and 17 minutes of rest. Garmin came at the exercises fast then gave lengthier rest later which helped.

Parade day in the Riverside

Dixie and I got to the river  Dixie got a quarter of my homestyle sausage biscuit and a quarter of my donut 🍩  she is about a quarter of my weight so that’s how I figured that. I drank my ice coffee in the river side  Here is Dixie just about to catch the ball mid Jaw grasp  We had a good time, I rolled up my pants and went in but got wet anyways with the dog rubbing my legs 🦵  Tossing the ball is magical down on the riverside we had the riverbank all to our self’s. Dixie thoroughly 😊 enjoyed her self and did very good with bringing the ball back. I think 🤔 we made a good team tossing it catching the ball, she even shared  the ball very good in my opinion  Now we’re resting out front and writing a post to share, made the most of the morning going slower. A different place in the city feels like a different world 🌎 often. The river takes me to a place where I am not anxiously wanting to do anything but sit and enjoy ☺️ my time with the dog ?...

Wednesday morning riverside plus 27 Celsius

Wow 🤩 green August, I’ve never seen such a green mid August  The coulee look very green this year, more rain than anticipated yet I’m loving 🥰 the weather. The dog 🐕 and I sit in the river tossing a ball 🏀 to the shoreline.  We had lots of fun three other dogs join us I never asked there names. They stated they interrupt my silence 🤫 I was enjoying the moment also with or without more dogs 🐕 we had a great time. One of there dogs played with Dixie ball and I had to go rescue the ball.⚽️  The dog and I went alone the morning got hot 🥵 early.  Plus 27 Celsius by the time we got home 🏡  I decide to take Dixie out of the house a bit. Before work. She is enjoying herself in the water now we’re out front drying off. I take a photo by our regular spot to see the river, where it is, it looks fuller than usual.  Just a metre off shore. Usually it’s 2-3 metre by this time of year. My folks come back from Canmore they say it’s way busier than they remem...
