Those walks with my dad are getting rarer

I get walking and do a lap before my dad joins me on my walk.

A decent amount of walking my pace has slowed down in an hour to 4 km instead of five km for an hour. I have a mouth 👄 full of red man chew or americas greatest chew.

Sort of see it in the photo.

The first bit of walk the walk was chilly so we both came with jackets but took the layers off  once on the the walk.

We talking camping in September and I say the mountain leafs changed at the end of August and on the prairie it changes at end of September. So it should be a beautiful time of year to go.

All ready I see the odd patch of leaves 🍂 that are yellowing but that’s 5% or of 95% of trees leaves 🍃 🌳 that are completely green.

Dixie is still in the 25 leaderboard for August.

She been good 😊 even with two days of little walks instead of bigger ones.

On my days off we had rain yesterday and lots of it. I tried to find people to go for blogging but got more no’s and just decided to clean the house. Cleaned a room and two drawer in the kitchen , fixed a clog sink and two loads of laundry 🧺. And dishes and cleaned the kitchen sink.

Dixie after our first lap.

The park looks pristine and just a wonderful place to be.

It got to be a hot 🥵 day I’m still sweating 🥵 at home from the walk.  Absolutely 💯 hot 🥵 day out and very humid.

Dixie hasn’t been sleeping good 😊 nether have I, but I did get a good sleep last night her seven day average is suffered just like mine.

I blame the change of weather.

My dad and mom have been MIA most the summer so I haven’t got to walk with them at all. I think it’s there first time in Sunridge park this summer with them.

They’d just been

Busy with grandparents stuff.

The other night I had three raccoons 🦝 roaming the yard by the garbage 🗑️ container 🫙. At least that’s what I think they were when I zoomed in on there tails.

Looked like a family of them.

I had an eventful day!

Walking in the park with your dad and Dixie, even if the weather was a bit chilly at first, must have been nice. It's great that you're enjoying the changing seasons, especially the beautiful autumn colors that will soon begin to show!

It’s impressive that Dixie is still holding her spot on the leaderboard despite a couple of less active days. It seems like you both are doing a great job keeping up with your exercise routines.

Cleaning and organizing when it’s raining can be a productive way to spend the day. It sounds like you accomplished a lot! And how interesting to encounter raccoons in your yard. They can be quite cute (from a distance!).

With your parents having been busy this summer, hopefully, you’ll get more opportunities to walk with them as the weather changes. It sounds like they could use some time in the park as well.

Keep enjoying your walks and the beauty of nature around you!

I also read that cottonwood Park is now allowing dogs

🐕 in there park it says, I might have to take Dixie here.

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour 🏃‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  🏃‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run 🏃‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Walk and a run in to the vet

Another adventure for Dixie,  she is an expensive dog….🐕 We enjoy 😊 our walks. Up top of the coulee you can see the university  Sonny and I go walking the south side dog park,  it tricky terrain for sure.  It’s nice 😊 for the scenery I think, yet a bit treacherous at times.  A person has to be careful let alone a dog 🐕 being careful. Here is Sonny and I smiling giving a thumbs up to the camera 📸  The walk was decent though some difficult 😞 parts for today, Dixie is on a 14 day hiatus from walking.  She’ll probably want to go sooner rather than later. I think we’re stuck to just five minute poop 💩 walks than the hour or two hour walks we usually do. I’m unsure when it happen but my guess is near the end of the walk when I noticed it. Dixie gets to close to the bushes today, I kept looking her over but noticed a different spot on her at the end of our walk.   Dixie goes through some bushes and gouged a piece out of her. Now Dixie has th...

A fawn born on our yard

A baby fawn was born on our lawn and it’s trying to warm up in the asphalt I’m guessing it’s still warm. We’re trying to give it space hopefully it mother comes by so we’re staying inside. I just went outside for a smoke and it crawled under the vehicle 🚗 lots of people are walking by it not noticing it then others are stopping.  Quite the thing to see. A few hours old… it’s still wet with mucus on it. With Kim’s super camera zoom is we could see Fish and wild life say to call in 24 hours if animals are left by moms  So we’re hoping people leave the fawn alone.  Although it’s a super cool 😎 thing to see. I think it hoofs are still soft from being born that’s why it’s staying put since it went on that hard surface till it’s hoofs Harden. It crawled on its knees after the side walk and just hunkered down for a bit. Two hours from first spotting.  Still there hiding under the vehicle 🚗 it kind of a good spot of course there’s better picked spots but it’s half and hal...
