Copper wood πŸͺ΅ walk

Walk with Mark, and his dog πŸ• Jagger

I run πŸƒ‍♂️ over to meet mark for a walk almost an eight km walk. I didn’t start it again til a 10 minute run πŸƒ‍♂️.

It’s awesome 😎 walking with mark, got to talk a half a dozen different books πŸ“š we’re in these last weeks.  Made a great time walking, 🚢‍♂️ I had another great 😊 day today. I was 10 minutes late getting out the door. My brother and sister are visiting me and got me OPA Greek food. My first time eating there, I had some cup calamari and Greek salad. It was delicious that made me leave the house at about 120 and I had to meet there at about 130 so I ran. I was about 10 minutes late even I didn’t think it would take that long with running, but it did….

Thinking about it I should of drove over, but the walk was good 😊

Mark is a great walker, he didn’t mind being that I was driving my family around and got back for our walk a bit later.

He is a pleasure to chat with, I enjoy the books πŸ“š we share and talk-walk with.

Cooper wood park a beautiful park, and the temperature is not bad right now mid day to walk at the moment it says it is 21 Celsius ,  Dixie had no problem πŸ˜‰ there. Both dogs behavior was good 😊. Dixie rarely jumped up beside jumping on the bench.

I think πŸ€” she’ll still grow out of it if I try more to keep her off the furniture πŸͺ‘ at 🏑 him. It’s mostly people I try to keep her jumping up on.  She does good 😊 at leash ends but that’s with out repeating telling her to stop jumping if I miss a close interaction.

Making back after walking with mark for an hour, we met a dog name Otis and he was 13 years old pug.  Out leashes got tangled and he seem interested in Dixie.

Dixie is rocking the active minutes these last three days reaching her goals every day. So she is almost above average for her breed.
Dixie is get awesome sleep πŸ’€ I think the best in the household.
She only got interrupted 21 time last night seems like a good amount.

Dixie is doing okay in the local leadership board. Not the best but not the worst, it’s out of fifty rank so middle class.
The dog is cooling down by the AC vent

She did good walking about eight km,
In 2 hours.

It sounds like you had a fantastic day! Walking with Mark and Jagger must have been a great way to enjoy the outdoors and catch up on your recent reading. It's always nice to share thoughts about books with friends.

It’s also great to hear that Dixie is doing well with her walking and seems to be adjusting nicely to both her active life and her sleeping patterns. The interaction with the 13-year-old pug, Otis, must have been fun, even with the leashes getting tangled!

Your time management seems like a workout in itself! Even with your late start, it sounds like you made the most out of the day, with delicious Greek food as a bonus. Keep up the good work with Dixie, and hopefully, she’ll continue to improve on her behavior.

Celebrating Ten Years and Living My Best Life🧘‍♂️ A Quiet Day at Home

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 10 Years Together Last night was a beautiful celebration of a decade spent with Kim. We marked our 10-year anniversary with a cozy dinner at The Keg, where I indulged in a hearty 20 oz steak and Kim opted for a more modest 8 oz cut. It felt so good to get out together and enjoy a special evening. We kept things simple—just water to drink, with fresh bread and salad to start. The atmosphere was perfect, and I soaked in every moment of our time together. We’re incredibly grateful for our families, who made the night even more special. My parents generously gave us cash to enjoy our dinner, and Kim’s parents gifted us movie money so we could extend the celebration. Their thoughtfulness reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by love and support. Family and friends made it sweeter We were so blessed by our families: my parents gave us cash to enjoy the night and Kim’s parents sent money for a movie treat. Our friends even gifted us a 20% tip card for the meal...

Gratitude, Good Food, and Good Books

A Thanksgiving weekend of family meals, long walks, and reaching 86 books this year Bryan and I headed out for a walk after he returned from his sister’s Thanksgiving gathering, settling into a steady 30‑minute pace that carried us just under 2 km. The air was crisp with a light breeze, the kind of weather that makes movement feel effortless. I’ve always loved these cooler temperatures—my body doesn’t have to work as hard, and the transition from “easy mode” into a gentle warm‑up felt natural. Carrying 30 pounds with me added that extra layer of challenge, but it blended seamlessly into the rhythm of the walk. We paused at a park bench along the way, taking a moment to sit together before snapping a photo. That small break reminded me how these walks are as much about connection as they are about distance or weight carried. The combination of fresh air, conversation, and the grounding presence of the season made the outing feel restorative. It wasn’t just a walk—it was a reminder...

Plus 12 Celsius Smoke run πŸƒ‍♂️

The dog and I decided to do either a 3 km run or a 6 km run or 9 km run hoping for 10 km but I couldn’t find the energy to push further. It is smoky out there you could smell it and breath it in. Made me in my threshold if I keep a higher pace than 9 minutes km Cooler morning,  I went and got a sausage homestyle biscuit from Tim’s and an ice coffee ☕️  Just getting my day started. I got a doctors appointment later today over the phone πŸ“ž also. Hoping to take the dog πŸ• for a run πŸƒ‍♂️ this morning but I’m stiff. So hopefully my coffee stop warms me up to get moving this morning. Or just caffeinates me. We managed to do 6.05 km in about 59 minutes. A high heart rate of 172 bpm and an average of 144 bpm. Plus 12 Celsius while I ran but I was in full sweating πŸ˜… by the time I got home 🏑. The last couple weeks I’ve had a low relative effort due to some family losses. But I manage to get out on a smoky day like today for a run. πŸƒ‍♂️  It’s been raining heavily the last...
