Out on a walk this raining morning




Dan and I get out for a walk early this morning for a walk, and enjoy 😊 the outside.

We raise our VO2 max a few time for an optimal load.

Taking a few breaks but enjoying our company with each other.

A delight to get out and see how green the coulees are.


It’s a beautiful time of year with the greenery coming out.  Hopefully this rain will help those fires 🔥 that are out of control.


Dixie has been asking to go the three days but I’ve been working and am tired after work. Which is unfair to a dog. She’s been stuck up badly the last bit.

Today was her day.

Took an hour to do about 1.76 km.  We made good time of it. 


We talk books and authors, which is my favourite thing I could do.  A pleasant morning, now Kim and I are 🧹 🧼 🧽 cleaning house.

About time on how chaotic it looks.

A good rain ☔️ day for it is.

 After seven weeks of setbacks and recovery, I laced up with Dixie and reclaimed my rhythm—3.64 km of steady effort, heart in the aerobic zone, and a reminder that progress starts with showing up. This afternoon, Dixie and I laced up and headed out for a run while the daylight was still holding on. It felt so good to be back out there after a bit of a break, moving at our own pace and enjoying the fresh air together. There’s something about running with Dixie that makes the effort lighter—her energy and joy keep me motivated, even when I’m easing back into the rhythm. Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour 🏃‍♂️

  Dixie and I go for a run  🏃‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run 🏃‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin.
