Lethbridge Gym

After a 40 minute walk in my morning

I get looking up work out tips from you tube.

Showing how to do it and how not to, for four or five different exercises.  I have been pretty regularly at doing push ups. About 20 push-ups for 18 days this month.

So I go I better look up how to do my list.

Googling exercises proper ways an errors happening.  And at my age what I should be doing.  I sort of googled how many squats after but I wrote it down usually to only do twenty. I didn't🀣😁 listen to my notes.

I'm pretty tight, even with another 2 fifteen minute walks or a half an hour walks.

Dixie and I go walking in shorts and jacket cause my legs were burning up.  Made two walks in this 100 km winds in shorts and my legs were still warm.

I got tight I did another 20 squats where I should of stuck with 20 squats instead of 40 squats.

I went to the pool side after and did some cool down and warm up. I timed my time in the sauna for ten minutes. I should of timed my time in the hot tub.  I never stayed in the pool long enough to cool down.  Yet after a couple stretching walks I got more mobile now.

Dog πŸ•πŸ© is happy, I got a sandwich πŸ₯ͺ at our local store with avocado and turkey πŸ¦ƒ sandwich with tomato πŸ… and spinach.

It was delicious πŸ˜‹.

Made it through the day and as I sit down to look out our front window see a big Buck out front.

Stares at me, through our windows.

An eventful day.  My dad said I should tone it down a bit.  I think I might of been a bit loud.

I cut up some onion and cleaned out the rice 🍚 cooker for a jambalaya for supper.

Kim did the rest when she got home.

I've been thinking I wanted to volunteer for streets alive πŸ™‚ or a soup kitchen. That's another blog if it were to happen.

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour πŸƒ‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  πŸƒ‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run πŸƒ‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Celebrating Ten Years and Living My Best Life🧘‍♂️ A Quiet Day at Home

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 10 Years Together Last night was a beautiful celebration of a decade spent with Kim. We marked our 10-year anniversary with a cozy dinner at The Keg, where I indulged in a hearty 20 oz steak and Kim opted for a more modest 8 oz cut. It felt so good to get out together and enjoy a special evening. We kept things simple—just water to drink, with fresh bread and salad to start. The atmosphere was perfect, and I soaked in every moment of our time together. We’re incredibly grateful for our families, who made the night even more special. My parents generously gave us cash to enjoy our dinner, and Kim’s parents gifted us movie money so we could extend the celebration. Their thoughtfulness reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by love and support. Family and friends made it sweeter We were so blessed by our families: my parents gave us cash to enjoy the night and Kim’s parents sent money for a movie treat. Our friends even gifted us a 20% tip card for the meal...

Gratitude, Good Food, and Good Books

A Thanksgiving weekend of family meals, long walks, and reaching 86 books this year Bryan and I headed out for a walk after he returned from his sister’s Thanksgiving gathering, settling into a steady 30‑minute pace that carried us just under 2 km. The air was crisp with a light breeze, the kind of weather that makes movement feel effortless. I’ve always loved these cooler temperatures—my body doesn’t have to work as hard, and the transition from “easy mode” into a gentle warm‑up felt natural. Carrying 30 pounds with me added that extra layer of challenge, but it blended seamlessly into the rhythm of the walk. We paused at a park bench along the way, taking a moment to sit together before snapping a photo. That small break reminded me how these walks are as much about connection as they are about distance or weight carried. The combination of fresh air, conversation, and the grounding presence of the season made the outing feel restorative. It wasn’t just a walk—it was a reminder...
