Anniversary Getaway

 Eating out gluten free

We drive and stop at Aspen Crossing and take a few photos.  We actually like stopping there.  It is a well established and beautifully run business.  We stopped on our way and on our way back.

I picked up ten dollars worth of stickers for my Moleskine journal.  We want to support them cause we like using there amenities.

We are out at a Italian restaurant. They remember us from last time, and that we're blogging and mentioning them in our groups.

Kim's Facebook page of gluten free page is over 500 people last time I checked.

As an owner, He said he loved it, that eating out here was a pleasure.

Breakfast we never took a photo, was not a franchise but more of a local company.  We ate gluten free there also with bottomless hash browns.  A store called Jam's, enjoyed it thoroughly, as it filled up people were waiting in there cars for people to come in. Also they were turning tables away cause they were full.

At our hotel we found someone else hair in our bed, which we never got new sheets or a new room.  It was to much of a hassle, also if there is no housing keeping at that hour we called and complained.  Then what would make our other room any better.

Were considered old for going to bed before sundown in November.

We layed in bed and read our books for hours.  A nice get away, from clutter at home, a fine way to spend time on our selves.

I felt like I was homesick away from our dog.

When we went to go pick her up from our inlaws.  She went berserk with her emotions around me.  I had to get on all fours just so she would stop shaking in excitement...

At home about to take her for a walk. Before family dinner.

We got to see my uncle Ron, which he managed to scrap by death's door with one vaccination. Lost 70 pounds while having Covid. We were all worried if him, we visit for 30 minutes. Seeing my aunts and uncles for a bit also.

Were all double vaccinated.

Tina kept saying I had a daughter, she could be in university with her disabilities.  I thought my aunt and wife were going to have an aneurysm, explaining no Nigel is your nephew, he is a son of your brother.  It was a temporary show of experience missing and going over who family is.

We explained no Nigel and Kim can't have kids, and as adults we don't have kids daughters or sons.

I felt it was great to see family 😁.

We sort of prepossessing to come on short notice, my aunt gave us flowers 🌹 and we stayed longer than ten minutes, but we all gave hugs and were double vaccinated also wore masks the whole time.

I miss my family lots, wish we could see them more often.  It pleasure on both sides ☺️ as we visited.

Now at home,

We are taking a nap.  An adventure in a new vehicle on our anniversary.

Thanks for our card, flowers and gifts to go out and eat.  Our anniversary was special with visiting and your thoughts πŸ’—πŸ™‚.

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour πŸƒ‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  πŸƒ‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run πŸƒ‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Walk mid October with my Mom

Walks with my mom The water looks like glass just crystal smooth.  My mom and I are walking to the river and in life. It’s like we’re always walking away.  Getting closer to the end, my poet mind says.   I say I got to enjoy these walks and I was silent most the walk just trying to enjoy 😊 my time with her. Or walk end more so with 🐾 paw printed pants πŸ‘– from dogs jumping.  We say maybe a dozen dogs πŸ•. A wonderful time.  I often thought it was too early to spell like alcohol.  But surprised to pass another walker, but each to their own I probably smell like an ashtray. Although I never smoked or chewed tobacco on my walk.  I just want to walk with my mom.  Often times I don’t think I could spit out everything I wanted to say so much so that I just said in these moments you don’t have to chew tobacco and say anything. Dixie and both us individually by the fallen tree arch. A path going to the river, under which most the trees 🌳 there are...

Walk and a run in to the vet

Another adventure for Dixie,  she is an expensive dog….πŸ• We enjoy 😊 our walks. Up top of the coulee you can see the university  Sonny and I go walking the south side dog park,  it tricky terrain for sure.  It’s nice 😊 for the scenery I think, yet a bit treacherous at times.  A person has to be careful let alone a dog πŸ• being careful. Here is Sonny and I smiling giving a thumbs up to the camera πŸ“Έ  The walk was decent though some difficult 😞 parts for today, Dixie is on a 14 day hiatus from walking.  She’ll probably want to go sooner rather than later. I think we’re stuck to just five minute poop πŸ’© walks than the hour or two hour walks we usually do. I’m unsure when it happen but my guess is near the end of the walk when I noticed it. Dixie gets to close to the bushes today, I kept looking her over but noticed a different spot on her at the end of our walk.   Dixie goes through some bushes and gouged a piece out of her. Now Dixie has th...
