Smokeless Jerky

The Instant Pot Air Fryer and Dehydrator

The wife asks to go but an air fryer a while ago.

Kim and I get talking which appliance we could get rid of to trade of space.
We could decide between to instant pot devices.

Turns out you could get a lid or our device, it's still a bit different from the device link below.

Ours will dehydration of meat to make beef jerky.  We get stewing beef and go to town on our sauce.

We have made a few batches of it.  No pictures.  We ate it all.  Goes quick, takes about 3 hours with our recipes.

And a couple trays later we have Jerky.

Friends have told me similar machines with smokeless BBQ or radiant heat stuff like that.

We stuck with Instant Pot, which it's a Canadian appliance.  And they are leading the appliance for a company.
We get ours and have been using it quite often for treats and meal for side dishes.  It's a great way to cook. Saves power and energy.

Winter we will do a rotisserie whole chicken instead of using the instant pot then broiling it after. Summer we are making home made Fry's with it.  And when we cheat premade Fry's from McCann's.

Those potato ads are all over the internet.

This device is highly recommend from out 🏠 use.
Now I got a Crock-Pot slow cooker that I took out to the garage.  It's going to be used for my tobacco pasteurizing or fermentation of tobacco chew.

That's my idea of a purpose for a Crock-Pot.
Refurbishing the old devices for my organic chew.

The next thing I suppose.

Which I should contact that friend to see how the family is, hey I got the time.  And the conversation got short, yet many enjoyable chatted last time we worked together.

There's many times over I hear I used to talk to some one and it goes I wish we stayed in contact.

Better contact them, check how people are doing.

A Canadian company for Jerky.

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour πŸƒ‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  πŸƒ‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run πŸƒ‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Celebrating Ten Years and Living My Best Life🧘‍♂️ A Quiet Day at Home

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 10 Years Together Last night was a beautiful celebration of a decade spent with Kim. We marked our 10-year anniversary with a cozy dinner at The Keg, where I indulged in a hearty 20 oz steak and Kim opted for a more modest 8 oz cut. It felt so good to get out together and enjoy a special evening. We kept things simple—just water to drink, with fresh bread and salad to start. The atmosphere was perfect, and I soaked in every moment of our time together. We’re incredibly grateful for our families, who made the night even more special. My parents generously gave us cash to enjoy our dinner, and Kim’s parents gifted us movie money so we could extend the celebration. Their thoughtfulness reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by love and support. Family and friends made it sweeter We were so blessed by our families: my parents gave us cash to enjoy the night and Kim’s parents sent money for a movie treat. Our friends even gifted us a 20% tip card for the meal...

Gratitude, Good Food, and Good Books

A Thanksgiving weekend of family meals, long walks, and reaching 86 books this year Bryan and I headed out for a walk after he returned from his sister’s Thanksgiving gathering, settling into a steady 30‑minute pace that carried us just under 2 km. The air was crisp with a light breeze, the kind of weather that makes movement feel effortless. I’ve always loved these cooler temperatures—my body doesn’t have to work as hard, and the transition from “easy mode” into a gentle warm‑up felt natural. Carrying 30 pounds with me added that extra layer of challenge, but it blended seamlessly into the rhythm of the walk. We paused at a park bench along the way, taking a moment to sit together before snapping a photo. That small break reminded me how these walks are as much about connection as they are about distance or weight carried. The combination of fresh air, conversation, and the grounding presence of the season made the outing feel restorative. It wasn’t just a walk—it was a reminder...
