A Morning Walk Full of Small Joys

Finding Good Energy on a Simple Five‑Kilometre Stroll with Dixie

A Walk Through the Week’s Good Energy

Dixie and I made our way around toward the university today, not directly through the crowd of achievers but skirting by on our usual path down University. We still caught a couple of good moments — one achiever gave us a bright “good morning,” another on our street did the same, and someone else offered a simple nod. Small gestures, but they stack up. I figured it was a great day in my books.

We kept walking and I noticed an ostentatious manhole cover — the kind you could almost press a shirt onto and end up with a neat Life Bridge design. Pressure wash it afterward and you’d have a one‑of‑a‑kind print. It stood out partly because someone had painted “I love you” on the sidewalk nearby, but upside down and in black paint. Every time I pass it, I wonder how they’re going to get that off. It doesn’t look like it’s coming off easily. Maybe an up‑and‑coming artist, maybe just someone having a moment, but you’d hope they’d clean up after themselves. It leaves an impression, that’s for sure.

Same with the garbage cans — brand new, fancy, and already littered with nonsense scribbles. Makes you wonder what people are thinking, or smoking, when they decide to make that public. But that’s life in a city: a mix of beauty, oddities, and the things you shake your head at.

Still, Dixie and I enjoyed the walk. Just under five kilometres. Enough to feel it, enough to feel good. I’m excited for this week — it feels like it’s carrying its own kind of energy. A new day, a little birthright of its own.

Lifebridge is a wonderful city. And days like this remind me why.

dixie and i make a wlak around to the university indirectly going by it not in the compay of achievers there but on our way down unversity. we get on one hello good morning from one achiever there and get another hello good mornign on our street. then another gives us a nod. i had a great day i figure it was a great day in my books. i managed to get out and walk the dog and see a Ostenatious man hole that one would figure some one could paint press a shirt on and get a neat life bridge design on there shirt. then pressure wash it off. I only mention it cause some one wrote i love you wrong way on on the side walk in balck paint and every time i walk down the street i wonder how they are going to get that black paint off the side walk. i don't think its coming off easy. it stuck there for now i guess some one could properly wash off there paint but that look s very permittent for my walks any way. leaves an impression for sure. posssible a up an coming artist but one would hope if it got and get propernessless over the whole cleaning up there art. you see garbage cans that are very new and fancy littered in dumb nonsentical sacratiy off incoherience and ones got to wonder what ones smoking in there life or the consequince that make that public. i get wlaking the dog and enjoy the wlak. about five km. just under to say the least im excited for this week to say the week has some excitement in it. cheering for a new day a birth right all on its own. lifebridge is a wonderfull city. write me a blog closest to these words just correctiong words and grammer
