10 km walk run

Dixie and I do a 10 km walk and run. I had my best walking pace of a runner at 8.5 pace for one lap the morning. Ran up to my fastest a 4 pace per mile or km I think my laps were done in miles 1.6 km. Says my average pace was 12 per km but I never stopped my watch on my water breaks that could have taken up 20 minutes between 2-4 laps.  So I think my top pace was the most accurate for most the walk. Or around 10 a pace per km.

A decent start of the day. I’m trying to upload my dogs tracker minutes and having difficulty hopefully by end of day I’ll have her stats updated. Check out my walking activity on Garmin Connect. #beatyesterday my stats uploaded.

Running down hill at the moment.  Up hill I walked it, but it was a decent morning.  I wanted to double my five km walks I do in an hour and do a two hour walk. I did take breaks in between them to catch up. Even had two or three walk down cigarettes 🚬 near the end.

My max heart rate hit up to 181 for five minutes on the walk.  I’m happy 😃 with reaching my max for that long.

Ran down this with the yellow line showing the route I took.
An awesome 😎 morning. The dog is wellbeing is a priority during summer and she loved the Nigel time spent together.

Stopped at my parents both ways to get water for the dog. It got hot 🥵 I got cover in sweaty 🥵 dust and can feel it on my face. I still want to do two sessions of 20 minutes of weights today.
That’ll be posted later today in this blog.

Walking and running the gravel road. A decent amount of running 🏃‍♂️.

I had to walk the fire 🔥 hall road to make sure I made my ten km.
I was ready to go home 🏡 that’s when I had two to three smokes walking here.
I just had to.

The river is quite low as you can see from my usual post I take photos at.  I heard the snow pack on glaciers mountains is 123% above conditions. And this week is when it melts so I’m wondering how high the river will get this weekend. I’m watching it low right now as I see.

You can see the mountains 🏔️ at the edge of the city 🏙️ and the mountains 🏔️ are blanketed in white snow. ❄️.

The dog 🐕 walking stats are in,
For noon 🕛 at least.

We got to 28 leaderboards from 38 spot just this morning.
Yahoo.
Dixie sleep 💤 is good and activity is great 😊 and that’s a happy dog 🐕. 10 km walk with her and she did not complain the entire time. Just laughing 😆 with peer enjoyment with our time. She now relaxing this all came about cause the dog 🐕 was asking to go for a walk and wouldn’t leave me alone whine to every room following me saying let’s get a walking.

It sounds like you had a really active and fulfilling day with Dixie! It's great to hear that you both enjoyed your walk and run together. It's important to prioritize your dog's well-being, especially during the summer months. Taking breaks and making sure Dixie stays hydrated are key for a successful outing.

Reaching your maximum heart rate for five minutes is quite an accomplishment! Remember to listen to your body and take breaks when needed. It's also wonderful that Dixie had such a positive experience and stayed happy and active throughout the walk.

Keeping track of your activities and setting goals like doubling your walks are fantastic ways to stay motivated and healthy. It's impressive that you're planning to do two sessions of weights later in the day too.

As for the river levels and snowpack conditions, it's always interesting to observe how nature changes throughout the seasons. Stay safe and enjoy your upcoming weekend adventures!

Keep up the great work with your fitness and enjoy your time.

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour 🏃‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  🏃‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run 🏃‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Plus 12 Celsius Smoke run 🏃‍♂️

The dog and I decided to do either a 3 km run or a 6 km run or 9 km run hoping for 10 km but I couldn’t find the energy to push further. It is smoky out there you could smell it and breath it in. Made me in my threshold if I keep a higher pace than 9 minutes km Cooler morning,  I went and got a sausage homestyle biscuit from Tim’s and an ice coffee ☕️  Just getting my day started. I got a doctors appointment later today over the phone 📞 also. Hoping to take the dog 🐕 for a run 🏃‍♂️ this morning but I’m stiff. So hopefully my coffee stop warms me up to get moving this morning. Or just caffeinates me. We managed to do 6.05 km in about 59 minutes. A high heart rate of 172 bpm and an average of 144 bpm. Plus 12 Celsius while I ran but I was in full sweating 😅 by the time I got home 🏡. The last couple weeks I’ve had a low relative effort due to some family losses. But I manage to get out on a smoky day like today for a run. 🏃‍♂️  It’s been raining heavily the last...

A fawn born on our yard

A baby fawn was born on our lawn and it’s trying to warm up in the asphalt I’m guessing it’s still warm. We’re trying to give it space hopefully it mother comes by so we’re staying inside. I just went outside for a smoke and it crawled under the vehicle 🚗 lots of people are walking by it not noticing it then others are stopping.  Quite the thing to see. A few hours old… it’s still wet with mucus on it. With Kim’s super camera zoom is we could see Fish and wild life say to call in 24 hours if animals are left by moms  So we’re hoping people leave the fawn alone.  Although it’s a super cool 😎 thing to see. I think it hoofs are still soft from being born that’s why it’s staying put since it went on that hard surface till it’s hoofs Harden. It crawled on its knees after the side walk and just hunkered down for a bit. Two hours from first spotting.  Still there hiding under the vehicle 🚗 it kind of a good spot of course there’s better picked spots but it’s half and hal...
