New Year’s Eve steak and prime roast

I get home with a meal planned. 🥩 got done working an a later start tomorrow’s means later day. All day I’m hearing from customers on how warm it is. I’m deciding to cook steak 🥩. I know Fall and winter is first quarter winter and spring is second quarter and summer and fall I think is third quarter.l for an El Niño. Not fretting of the future. I read lots of books.  I’m sort of in a panic 🫨 but not there yet. I know with oil losses there will be a war some where!!! So I’m guessing there is one right now. But for today I’m cooking steak 🥩. Later in the evening we’re going over to My in-laws for prime roast. I was hoping to watch mama Mia it’s usually a New Year’s Eve tradition in my home to watch it then. And well I’m working tomorrow so I don’t know if it’ll be as warm or windy so I had to eat.  I hadn’t ate anything all day and planned this meal forgetting about prime roast for dinner. So instead of two steaks for me I cooked one. ☝️ The others I’ll have to save f...

Full moon of December walk

Joe and I get to go for a walk with almost a full moon 🌕. I think the full moon was yesterday  Walking to the fire 🔥 hall.  We walk by a few Christmas lights houses 🏡 and enjoy 😊 our company walking and talking. Later at home, Kim brings us two peanut parfaits, and a banana split. The dog did get some of the banana split with no chocolate 🍫 in it. Licking 👅 out the container 🫙  We snack on ice cream 🍦 after our walk. I’m happy He stop by for a walk and pass a book 📕 on that I got for Joe to appreciate his artistic direction in life. I guess he is knowledgeable in art history and so I found book 📕 writing about how it came to America 🇺🇸 🇨🇦  🇦🇷  🇧🇷  We see some deer 🦌 on our walk under the full moon. 🌕  Talk on the walk was about our farm life’s in Alberta County.  Cool stories and fun adventures. Or hearing coyotes in the countryside. At first glance you sort of see the dog 🐕 in the phone but she never sat very long in t...

Dec.27 walking

Bryan and I met for a walk A good walk, a bit chilly for me, I thought but it’s a few days til January the cold outcomes of weather. I gifted Bryan a power bar we were not using and he gave me a tims card for it. I had a great 😊 time. I would have stopped for coffee but I think I’ve had enough coffee for today. Tomorrow I go back to work, and enjoy 😊 my last day off. Work rotation is five days in a row. Although i did get Christmas 🎄 off this was the first walk Dixie had I think besides an evening walk in Christmas Day cause she was stir crazy 😜. For my time off, it was good 😊. A bit jealous of Kim getting ten days.  And other people getting a bit extra time off. But I think I’m going to take some time off once they hire more people. After the holidays in retail is a hard sell for time off. So I guess I’m working it. Yah me. Many Canadian geese in the open water 💦 of the river. Flying over and on the shore in the river. Bryan goes must he eating fish 🐠. They could be,...

Tuesday walk with peppermint tea

The river is all the way to the embankment to the river. Bryan and I go take a look at the river with the dog 🐕 on the leash.  She’s having a great 😊 day on our walk jumping up on the bench looking at us for our walk. She is off leash at this point after we go down the hill and she’s on leash to the river, the camera distorts in pano, makes Bryan look tiny in it due to I’m on the high ground. I’m drinking a peppermint tea Bryan got me with cream and honey 🍯 in it. Reminds me of mint and honey 🍯 . That you’d pick off the bush and drink in tea 🍵 . Start of our walk taking a quick photo the dog didn’t want to get back in the car 🚘 when we left which wasn’t an ultimatum. We were going so I had to drive out with her running behind for her to picture that we were going. She understood, although still hesitantly gesturing to stay and that she enjoyed the run after the vehicle. But yet she understood it was not an ultimatum of stay in the park or going back home 🏠. I’m happy ...

Work Christmas party

Kim and I go to My Christmas party 🎉  We sit down an enjoy a good meal at the Italian Canadian club. We sat in the middle table and enjoyed a date night out. Kim drove me in her new SUV 🚙. We won a popcorn 🍿 microwaveable pot A nice treat, we don’t have a microwave at the moment. But maybe during boxing 🥊 day sales will go get one ☝️. Walking up to receive my door 🚪 prize A few photos with Kim’s camera 📸

Walk in start of storm

Storm ⛈️ Weather Bryan and I go out in this rain storm soon to be done they say. The weather coming down slowly at the moment. Bryan buys me a green tea and shares a pizza with me from Tim Hortons.  A great guy,  my parents gifted him a Tim card so he took me out for a meal and tea 🍵. Looking out over the river and the high rise bridge. Also the whoop up bridge. It’s a great 😊 place to go for a walk with the dog 🐶  Should be a good storm. For western central Alberta, Lethbridge it’ll miss and Brooks will be right in cuff of it. That sounds like a cozy and enjoyable time despite the rainstorm! It's always nice to have someone special to share a meal with. Going for a walk with your dog by the riverside and bridges must be lovely as well. Although the storm is expected to miss Lethbridge but affect Brooks, I hope you stay safe and enjoy the rest of your outing!

Three of the guys got a walk

The start of our walk I find my phone to take a few photos of the adventure.🐕  we originally met at the coffee shop on the west side and the drive down to the coulee for a walk.  I should of got a warm drink cause my hands were cold 🥶 drinking an ice coffee. Walking talking of books 📚  Dixie gets a walk and was excited for it that she was shaking 🫨 in the car 🚗 ride down here. Giving a heard wimper of excitement to walk,  thankfully she is tuckered out and relaxing in the recliner looking 👀 out the window 🪟. The three guys walk in the Popson park and saw some dogs 🐶 a lady on her phone I didn’t notice til I asked her if I could take a picture of her dogs for my blog. I never asked there names due to she was on the phone but we saw her again since we did two laps. Later as we walk the sun behind some clouds ⛅️ we saw a bit of the sunrise from the coulee but the sun was well up when we went at 9 am for our walk. Our walk consisted of silence for the first...

Got some green tea and an ice coffee

Walking down by river side sunrise 🌅 didn’t happen til 8:10 am…. Bryan and I get down riverside for a walk meeting lots of dogs 🐕. We were having a fun time, Dixie ran with other dogs and had a great 😊 morning. She behaved good with the dogs 🐶 out in the park. Dixie is one of the smaller dogs in her size of breed. But she ran and chased the dogs 🐕 full of energy those four legged creatures. Meeting a dozen dogs on our walk She was socializing and no barking. Well adjust dog. I bought Bryan a green tea 🍵 gave him three mandarins.  The oranges 🍊 are great 😊, I often wondering if Bryan gets enough fruit in his diet. So I came bearing oranges.  I know my grandparents wouldn’t get many gifts for Christmas but one gift would be an orange 🍊 on Christmas Day. There was sugar like jams and stuff like that but fruit back then was rarity. Bryan pick up spring rolls and I got three, sharing a few bites with Dixie. She part of the pack, so I shared them with her.  Than...

I finally got Covid

What I have learnt is… I slept in another room for 5-6 days I found I never 👎 got any one else sick 😷 as far as I know. I called in at the end of a shift and wiped down the truck 🛻 meticulously to keep the next person safe. And tested the next day. And sure enough I was positive.  Good thing I called in. I let my work know I got it. A day before I cleaned the Thursday I got lots of cleaning done and vacuum and mopped the entire house cleaned toilets 🚽  The next day only then on Friday, I was working wearing a mask at the end of my shift.  I went home took two Tylenol and then talked to my wife who told me to call in. Thankfully 😅 for her I’m Still well liked at workplace.  Cause I was struggling saying I needed time off. On Saturday I confirmed on a test it was Covid But  I did seven loads of laundry wash and dry. Clean quilts, pillowcases and sheets, Wiped down lights knobs toilets again sinks and door edges. Was all the sheets and quilts and pillow...
