Walk in a warm afternoon

Dixie and I asked Kim to go

Later just deciding to go ourself, might Coax Kim in going later.  Hopefully we get to again while this weather is super.

I need to go for three half and hour walks I decided. The weather is very supportive for that.  I think today is with out much of the wind.  As we went for a 20 minute walk.  Kim finally got back up after I got the mail.

I changed my appearance by shaving and only leaving a mustache ☺️.  Kim says I look quite a bit older with it πŸ™‚.

With no wind πŸƒ I have less of a headache. Nice change from a last few days of 100km winds.

Hopefully we go to the river bottom to walk with the three of us.

And we get to a river bottom the both of Us.

Kim and walk together πŸ’ž for one lap around the river bottom, posing in a few favourite yearly photo spots.

Dixie stayed on leash by the river, but later walking to the road went leash free, when she found a friend name Nova.

Running forward and back to us.

It is nice somebody wanted to walk with us πŸ™‚ with our dog πŸ•πŸ© for a bit til we got to the road.  Only six months old they walked but to the river and we kept an eye on Dixie. Calling her with treats. She came each time. Being a water dog she doesn't listen when water is around.  She'll gun it for it no-matter what order called by owners.

The river still completely frozen over from mountain πŸ—»πŸ”️ water πŸ’¦.  I think it's the most dangerous all year the owner of Nova said(a six month old pup) with warm weather we've been having. Kim and I concurred as we we doubled back to the road leash free.

It's nice when people join up to walk with Dixie, "she loved it, both around the same puppy age," Kim commented.

Later the last bit she went back on leash πŸ™„ near the end of walk and we skipped the mud puddle walk-in back to the car πŸš—.

An enjoyable day, not much wind.  Sun us shining.  I wore a t-shirt and a wind breaker and was sweating.

Thankful the dog is napping now.

A fun run around for the dog. Not to busy.

Happy February.☺️πŸƒπŸ’ž

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour πŸƒ‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  πŸƒ‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run πŸƒ‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Celebrating Ten Years and Living My Best Life🧘‍♂️ A Quiet Day at Home

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 10 Years Together Last night was a beautiful celebration of a decade spent with Kim. We marked our 10-year anniversary with a cozy dinner at The Keg, where I indulged in a hearty 20 oz steak and Kim opted for a more modest 8 oz cut. It felt so good to get out together and enjoy a special evening. We kept things simple—just water to drink, with fresh bread and salad to start. The atmosphere was perfect, and I soaked in every moment of our time together. We’re incredibly grateful for our families, who made the night even more special. My parents generously gave us cash to enjoy our dinner, and Kim’s parents gifted us movie money so we could extend the celebration. Their thoughtfulness reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by love and support. Family and friends made it sweeter We were so blessed by our families: my parents gave us cash to enjoy the night and Kim’s parents sent money for a movie treat. Our friends even gifted us a 20% tip card for the meal...

Gratitude, Good Food, and Good Books

A Thanksgiving weekend of family meals, long walks, and reaching 86 books this year Bryan and I headed out for a walk after he returned from his sister’s Thanksgiving gathering, settling into a steady 30‑minute pace that carried us just under 2 km. The air was crisp with a light breeze, the kind of weather that makes movement feel effortless. I’ve always loved these cooler temperatures—my body doesn’t have to work as hard, and the transition from “easy mode” into a gentle warm‑up felt natural. Carrying 30 pounds with me added that extra layer of challenge, but it blended seamlessly into the rhythm of the walk. We paused at a park bench along the way, taking a moment to sit together before snapping a photo. That small break reminded me how these walks are as much about connection as they are about distance or weight carried. The combination of fresh air, conversation, and the grounding presence of the season made the outing feel restorative. It wasn’t just a walk—it was a reminder...
