Feeding the chickens

 Catching grasshoppers

I get shaking the tree 🌲 to drop the grasshoppers out of it.  I started catching them with a rubber glove πŸ˜‚.
They are everywhere.  They have trimmed all the leaves off most the garden plants even the horseradish plant.  Taken most the leaves off the tree that never got soap and water πŸ’¦ put on the plant.

They are showering themselves on you when you shake the tree 🌲.

I pick each one up and toss it in a cashew container.
Easier to keep them in with a lid that can flip close and shut with one hand to open and close and another to toss them in.  It's a futile attempt to keep them at bay of the fence line.

There's a dark spot in the field where there's a mass grave of grasshoppers vacuumed up in soap water and dump in a pile out there.  Notably the spot is visible from the 🏠 house deck.

Here's the πŸ” chickens getting some protein 🀣.

It is going to be feeding time right away.  When are chickens ever not eating.  They are born pecking animals while still in an egg.

Eggcellent.

Chicken πŸ“πŸ” made quick work πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘ of a grasshopper catches.

πŸ” Chickens have small brains, they peck at them through the container and few last grasshoppers with even smaller brains don't want to come out, some how they know danger is out of the contents in resorted to getting shook out at an end for a demise by a chicken πŸ” pecking order.

Looking for a grasshoppers to feed the chickens the ones that were eating this tree 🌲 after I shook them off.  Picking those ones by one hand gloved to do some catching and another to put in a container. The tree leaf πŸƒ munched got picked for chicken coliseum a gladiator no survival grasshoppers contestants.

It's almost a coliseum work grasshoppers named with opiniontist or originalitst.  And grasshoppers waiting a gate of a container to be plucked out by a waiting bird 🐦.   Sort of how I look at it by seeing the taunts of cluck and pecks of chicken πŸ” agility it take kills from its other bird 🐦 kills.

After a few edits with a better storytelling. A afternoon catching and writing of my blogs on Dixie. She even at times will chew a few grasshoppers a dog πŸ•.
