Koffee and a job to tackle

The deck is partially taken apart.

I got to get to this job before I run out of time in a year.  Mornings are cool and wasps are going into the wasps trap.  I've used two different bottles of wasp spray on them.  But it's a difficult job.  The wasps nest is actually under the concrete deck that the wood deck is covering.

Making it a spray when they come out.  Which is sort of done in a panic stage. Cause they fly about you as one swats at them and jump around a deck to get the most before all out anger of a wasp swarm beiges the front.

So at first I though of spraying at night when they were not out. That didn't do good enough job.  A wasp trap did the most.  I honestly thought of getting the electronic net badminton racket and taking it out in swats.  Yet I didn't want to waste money πŸ’°. If it didn't work.

Thinking of spray foaming it.  That's one way to deal with it.

Yet I want to spray it one more time.  Which I don't think is necessary if I spray foam it.

Thinking it over this weekend.  I mowed the lawn in full long sleeve and long pants as wasps were in our grass. I trying mowing them but they stuck to the grass. I even left the mower over one that landed infront of the mower. Backed it up after and it just flew away...

A few buzzed around in mid mow.  I just did the psych a dart 🎯 the mower in a square as I smacked them with my back hand ✋.

The dog πŸ• and I after my one coffee ☕

We sit down, having our $4 coffee with tip,  my first all week.

I have tried to cut down on coffee, since I'm having problems with my tongue πŸ‘…πŸ˜› being so dry.  I sleep to much.  No pleasing me, either to little or to much sleep. No middle, my meds got upped in August.  To keep stress down.

So coffee is sort of an oxymoron if I drink it to late in the day.  Pointless.

Yet one cup a week is do-able.

Dixie and I walk out neighborhood to pick us up a drink.  We walk in a store close by to pick it up. Dog friendly ☺️.  Dixie behaved πŸ™„ well as best she could.

Kim wants a corn maze challenge this weekend, I sort of hope for a back yard πŸ”₯ fire.

I better decide if I want spray foam or wasp spray.  Yet when I drove about this Friday everything was crazy busy.  And they were out of wasp traps and wasp spray.  So today I'm thinking of picking up foam to keep them stuck and just forget about the spray and trap.

Also I got the 10-4 on picking up weedX or weed killer.  Get the deer dropping problem solve with our cedar trim this spring.  Our weed problem should be in way better spot after this spray.  It is sort of an all year round job keeping bad growth coming in.  A tree 🌲 grew in our yard and sort of let it grow, which this fall I'm going to cut down with a saw.

Next week will get our to garbage πŸ—‘️ bins to the waste and recycling.

Looking at this deck, decision making is a task that one could make worst or better.  I'm undecided if I trap them in the step if it will be worst. Or another problem will happen.

And it always does happen that way.

Thinking of the job of pulling a board up and having to go to three lumber yards looking for green all weather wood, hoping they'd have a board laying about.

Since it's been discontinued this year and only brown boards are available now.  It's a wonder if this job will turn into not just one board but now one step to a whole deck change.

Which I'm sort of stuck doing for free since I ripped up on board and it broke to find I could never get to the wasp nest in the first place.

If you can't tell the frustration in my writing yet, I'm pretty perturbed over if it has all ready got to bad to worst to a job that's going to go to terrible big if they find a way in 🏠 house from sealed in front deck.

All sorts of jobs end this way, and I are my self as a job blowing up to a whole other level of not just my problem at front door but downstairs to upstairs dilemma.

So I sit and stare at my only wasp trap that Lethbridge is sold out on. See the grasshoppers plague and now wasp plague that's hit our city.

Only to think of an ochlocratic hero like Batman needed.

Ok πŸ‘Œ storytelling stop in mind.

The birds got to be happy, the other day I saw seagulls every where in the sky pooping.  They must be loving these grasshoppers.  The thing is there's no real water shed for for seagulls to feed on little fish.  So I thought it was odd. But birds are eating them.

I think early this year we caught a badger on our security camera.  I think it ate our carrots since we got none.  We had a skunk come by and touch noses with Dixie. A basic animal kiss. As I turn to scream at Dixie to come back.  Happened at night since Dixie can't let me out of her sight if I'm outside. Or she has a dog melt down at the door and window.

So I put her on the chain out front and a skunk came up and Dixie did the downward dog play stance.  I think I woke up the neighborhood calling her back.

Any way back to the underlying problem if wasps. And building a deck step to wondering if I will have to build a whole deck.  Which was only guessing was supposedly only a board initially when I tore it off.  I even picked up 3 - 12 foot brown deck boards in my car πŸš— to do this job.  All to stop cause stores are sold out of wasp stray and traps.

To my quick solution of spray foam which I have a hunch will be a bigger problematic because it's all ready got it from therefore point onward one where the screws never came out so I took my hefty crowbar and got it out.  Being a rental I think I took it a little to far from just a wasp sting in my arm pit, I'm thinking it would of been ok with just a trap or two.

I guess I could wait til next week when stock gets back in-store.

And procrastination speaks for itself if I wait spray will become available.  For now ☺️ I'm ignoring my couple board missing step and thinking. Or delaying til I can act.

    1. Yes, the dog managed to not get sprayed, luckily. I thought it would of been sprayed for sure when I yelled at it, afterwards.

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour πŸƒ‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  πŸƒ‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run πŸƒ‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. Celebrating Ten Years and Living My Best Life🧘‍♂️ A Quiet Day at Home

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 10 Years Together Last night was a beautiful celebration of a decade spent with Kim. We marked our 10-year anniversary with a cozy dinner at The Keg, where I indulged in a hearty 20 oz steak and Kim opted for a more modest 8 oz cut. It felt so good to get out together and enjoy a special evening. We kept things simple—just water to drink, with fresh bread and salad to start. The atmosphere was perfect, and I soaked in every moment of our time together. We’re incredibly grateful for our families, who made the night even more special. My parents generously gave us cash to enjoy our dinner, and Kim’s parents gifted us movie money so we could extend the celebration. Their thoughtfulness reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by love and support. Family and friends made it sweeter We were so blessed by our families: my parents gave us cash to enjoy the night and Kim’s parents sent money for a movie treat. Our friends even gifted us a 20% tip card for the meal...

Do you think turmeric will help?!?! I ask myself is exercise really like meditation where you get brain clarity and pay more attention to books or life. All of a sudden a gym membership looks doable this morning  a February post I go to say. Both is doable.  Life and books You don’t need a gym mem...
