Last weekend before September

Out camping, and it's raining tonight

I get out and enjoy the weather, it got cold in the middle of the night.  There was a fire 🔥 ban in effect.  Even if we had the stove, it would feel if the fire helicopter would fly down and say our location.

The older guy said, you have read my blog right.  As they arrest you.

Or give a ticket.

It got chilly and all that know me I get up at 5 like click work with or with no alarm.  So I'm up, the guy I shared the tent with said go back to bed.  I on the other hand was wide awake.

Breakfast happened later with peanut 🥜 butter on french toast with syrup.

I started the hot water, got the coffee on.

After a hard day 🤠 binding up branches from the forest to put in piles.  I got my work cut out.  I hulled lots of deadwood to the road.  Few scratches to show I worked.

I got a cut on my thumb or its chapped.  That hurts at the moment.

Did a couple walk around. To the steam, the cattle were not here this time, so that made it easier to let the dog run around.

I left a day early, missed the storm coming in. Yet that would of been interesting to sit through.  Listen to a storm overnight.
Yet I'm happy I got a heated house today.

Not much to say, had the winter jacket on while I walked about.  The prairies is in for a cold front coming in.  Thermodynamics cold pushes in, I get it.  Laws and order on how the weather changed so quick.  You could see the clouds moving fast, and something blowing in.

I looked that afternoon, as we sat on one of our breaks from working.  The storm is a big deal.

Yet health wealth and wisdom to get out during these last days of summer. First responders are always in this COVID-19 and they deserve a break.  Has to be hard when you deal with the public often, that you'd hope would not be sick.  Yet everyone they meet is in crisis.  Same with schools, the delays are serious and often problems are not seen until crisis are there.

I got home set up a shelf afterward. Then got ready bed.  Still have to unload the car. Yet I'm tired maybe tomorrow.

I got a new front window on my car.  It needed one.  Could never look out in the sun with out it glowing the whole window.
Safer I feel now.

Also got new shoes, I blew out my right shoe 👟 this year.  Usually happens to my right foot.  Left is numb all the time and I over compensation for my right.  The shoes are garbage by end of year, or new shoes usually every autumn.

Need those trainers to make it through the winter.
Or is be all about my back and knees and ankles. I'd never walk the dog. Unless I got an hour encourage talk to brave the pain and weather.  Now the dog just tells me and we both have to go if we get snowed in and a couple days go by.  The dog and I both go crazy with no walks.

A hard day at camp, feels good to get that work in.  Time to moisten my hand in lotions to get the cracks out.  They hurt, and need some care.

Waiting for a dog 🐶 video to post 🏕️ camping
So stay posted for an update here.

Plus 4 Celsius 6.1 km in a hour 🏃‍♂️

Dixie and I go for a run  🏃‍♂️ Dixie and I go for a run, redo a hill run down and up again. Kim picks me up after I climb the hill, I called her and asked since I was over my hour mark, originally I wanted to do 9 km in an hour but I managed to do six km instead.  I think it was the hill climb that did it.  I ran fully down hill no problem 😌 We made good time.  For a hill run 🏃‍♂️   It looks like it will be 13 Celsius by noon but it feels warmer in the sun. ☀️  I took a picture by the usual spot that judge where the river is from other years and with that rain the last couple days it definitely looks a lot better than what it was a few weeks ago Dixie went off leash for a bit and went to the river. Must’ve been cold. I think for April water dip. I managed to bring my VO2 max up to good 😊 today, it’s the first time I’ve put it in the green since owning my second Garmin. So my goal right now is to get an endurance score over 5099 To move past ...

Walk mid October with my Mom

Walks with my mom The water looks like glass just crystal smooth.  My mom and I are walking to the river and in life. It’s like we’re always walking away.  Getting closer to the end, my poet mind says.   I say I got to enjoy these walks and I was silent most the walk just trying to enjoy 😊 my time with her. Or walk end more so with 🐾 paw printed pants 👖 from dogs jumping.  We say maybe a dozen dogs 🐕. A wonderful time.  I often thought it was too early to spell like alcohol.  But surprised to pass another walker, but each to their own I probably smell like an ashtray. Although I never smoked or chewed tobacco on my walk.  I just want to walk with my mom.  Often times I don’t think I could spit out everything I wanted to say so much so that I just said in these moments you don’t have to chew tobacco and say anything. Dixie and both us individually by the fallen tree arch. A path going to the river, under which most the trees 🌳 there are...

Walk and a run in to the vet

Another adventure for Dixie,  she is an expensive dog….🐕 We enjoy 😊 our walks. Up top of the coulee you can see the university  Sonny and I go walking the south side dog park,  it tricky terrain for sure.  It’s nice 😊 for the scenery I think, yet a bit treacherous at times.  A person has to be careful let alone a dog 🐕 being careful. Here is Sonny and I smiling giving a thumbs up to the camera 📸  The walk was decent though some difficult 😞 parts for today, Dixie is on a 14 day hiatus from walking.  She’ll probably want to go sooner rather than later. I think we’re stuck to just five minute poop 💩 walks than the hour or two hour walks we usually do. I’m unsure when it happen but my guess is near the end of the walk when I noticed it. Dixie gets to close to the bushes today, I kept looking her over but noticed a different spot on her at the end of our walk.   Dixie goes through some bushes and gouged a piece out of her. Now Dixie has th...
